Latura is a soldier. Two wars. One of those secret guys in the Pentagon that supplies the military hardware - the planes, bullets, rifles - for what we call "black operations" - "black ops", assassinations, coup d'etats, rigging elections, propoganda, psych warfare and so forth. World War II - Romania, Greece, Yugoslavia, he helped take the Nazi intelligence apparatus out to help us fight the Communists. Italy '48 stealing elections, France '49 breaking strikes - he overthrew Quirino in the Philippines, Arbenz in Guatemala, Mossadegh in Iran. Vietnam in '54, Indonesia'58, Tibet '59 he got the Dalai Lama out.

Timothy Dalton has always been my favourite Bond next George Lazenby (On Her Majesty Secret Service) a true murderer, both of them, after all that's what Bond is, a spy and killer.

Yes, Dalton plays the character closest to Ian Fleming's Bond in the books. He is my fav 007, hands down!
