Mickey’s shakespaerean plight is worthy of a biblical publication. He rises again like the dark knight of Gotham!

I used to really..........really.....love Mickey Rourke........round the same time I had a big James Dean obsession. I grew up watching his movies.........Diner is in my top 10 movies of all time because it reminds me of me and my friends going to the pub (we were all 80's rockabillies and indie kids, round the Nick Kamen Levi ad times). Barfly is still fantastic.......Saw Angel Heart in London when it came out......still a great movie (and soundtrack)............Rumblefish (what was not to love with a cast including Tom Waits and Matt Dillon). He screwed it up but life isn't perfect. I still love him. Btw - I think you 2 are great........I don't know how you manage to be so eloquent talking about movies in a pub. I would happily listen in the corner to you 2 waffle on. You should have way more subs. Peace x

he also made Sin City in 2005 before The Wrestler. Not exactly a huge role but still a great fit. I feel like that was the prelude to his comeback.

Frank Miller took notes while casting sin city, all he wrote for Rourke was "MICKEY IS MARV". That role is my vote for 'closest to the comic book ever."
