What if you’re an icu np wanting to go to crna school?

You cannot become a CRNA without experience HOWEVER, you can become something similar (Certified Anesthesiologist Assistant) without experience, you will need a bachelors and a few science courses and can only practice in states that recognize them. Pay is similar if not the same for both CRNA & CAA (at least in FL).

ADN is not 18 to 24 months. There are prerequisites you have to finish for ADN that itself is one year.

Hello ive been a LPN since i was 18; fast forward im now 31 and taking a excelerated course to my RN BSN. To then jump into my CRNA journey. Im pretty confident ive been a nurse since a teenager. Im just nervous but excited about this new found career im working towards.

New grad ICU nurse here 🙋🏽‍♀️. Currently retaking some science classes to raise my science gpa because Cs get degrees but they don’t get you into crna school 😫. Also studying for the GRE AND I will be getting the CCRN when I meet the hourly requirement to take the test 😊

I need advice so I've done all my prerequisite and received my AA in Heath Science. Which allows me to go for my BSN RN. BUT I was unaware that I had another option. In the past, before getting my AA in Health Science I took my state boards for my LVN which I failed and never retook it. but still have a chance to take now. If I go that route I will need to pass my LVN STATE BOARDS. then apply to an accelerate BSN RN program. I'm seriously stuck and don't know which path to take. I just need to take the LVN State Boards and pass it then I can go for Accerlerate BSN program or just apply for a BSN program and go that way? What would you do in my shoes?

I’ve been a nurse for 9 years and 5 of those years I work at an ambulatory surgery center and I worked along side/and assist CRNAs and anesthesiologists as an OR circulator. During this time I’ve been picking a lot of CRNAs brains about what they do and how to become one. I just applied for an ICU position to get my journey started. This video has been the most helpful resource ever! All the CRNAs I work with have been doing it for 10 plus years and now requirements are different. I’m extremely nervous and kind of intimidated but I know with God I can do all things and I will accomplish this goal. Thank you so much for sharing!
