Love all these ideas. Our group makes the pillowcases and donate to shelters. Unfortunately, sometimes these pillowcases turn into “suitcases” for the domestic abused in the shelters.

Your upcoming plans sound fabulous, Stephanie! The quilting cruise would be the trip of a lifetime for me. I’m a garment sewist, too, as well as a beginning quilter. You’re very inspiring; you’ve brought me hope for a better future here in my late-life stage. I’m praying for your future AND a better economy! (PS, I came over from Karen Brown’s channel.) 😘

What kind of interfacing do you use? Do you use “light” or “medium”, does it matter if it’s “woven” or not. Thanks! Your link is broken.

I retired from healthcare in 2023 when mom fell...it was life making me STOP because we never stopped working like most of the world during C19. I'm glad you are dealing with all that has transpired. My only job now is to take care of mom. KZbin has been my solace because I love watching your podcast, it's my therapy as I quilt, craft, especially EPP😊. I pray all you do moving forward brings joy to your life.

Thank you “allowing “ me to throw away my small scraps! I felt so guilty about throwing these small pieces away but I don’t really enjoy making things with them!

I love a good transatlantic cruise!!! And the Azores... and quilting... and Portugal... and fabric shopping on vacation. and taking photos of portugese streets for quilt designs. (and Roman churches too) I had an extra 50 lb bag and topped off my 25lb checked bag to 50 lbs... and had to buy a carryon bag... and gave away clothes... just to bring home all my fabric finds. I have fabric from Sicily... Fat quarters from Rome... backings from France... yardage from Santiago de Compostella... I have a quilt shop to go back to in Pontevedra -- it was closed. boo-hoo... This fall will bring a visit to a huge fabric shop in Southampton before crossing the pond. I'm bringing an empty suitcase.

Thank you, thank you. I've been quilting for 40 years and this is by far the best tutorial; on sewing triangles I have ever seen. I have always struggled with the points with triangles. Awesome teaching. Thank you.

I like most all of what you say here. I will say though I spent $300 on my sewing machine. I've used it now for years. It's a great machine. I would be cautious telling someone how much to spend on a machine. $500 can be a lot of money for some and we don't want to discourage people from learning to quilt One thing I learned, when it comes to sewing machines, it is almost always the operator that is the problem. Good video.

Mi cabbinet is cover with some plastic. Can that be painted too? I detested it. Its a Koala. Plastic that peels like a thick contact paper. I love your store and video.
