Had the pattern for a few years … been scared to make my jeans 😂
@celcielmoore1664Күн бұрын
I first saw one of your batch cutting videos. My first thought was “that poor soul on the floor cutting all those patterns!” Well, you clearly knocked that task out with a bang!😊 I have been watching you ever since. You go girl! I enjoy your videos and see your determination to continue to grow in your sewing journey. I also wanted to encourage you to Learn about and USE your Serger! You will make your sewing so much faster. You’ll be hooked and mad that you didn’t do it sooner! I can’t wait to see the outcome of so many of those beautiful fabrics you cut out. I’ll be anxious to see those jeans!😊 And lastly I bought a collapsible cutting table from JoAnns ions ago that made that cutting task more bearable and easier on the knees 😅 God bless you and keep up the good work! Thank you.

Does the pattern run true or is it larger? What fabric did you use? I love it.
@thedocishaute4 күн бұрын
This pattern runs large. My body measurements would have put me in a large, but I seed up a medium.

Nice!!! What type of pins did you use for cutting out the pattern. They looked like dots 👀
@thedocishaute6 күн бұрын
Thanks! Those are flat head pins that I got from Joann a while ago. They do look like dots. 😂

Great video, a quick question.....Can you just serge the seams with a 4 thread overlock and not do the seams twice? Of course the crotch needs the extra strength and I would double stitch that too. Your fabric is nice especially since it doesn't roll when cut.
@thedocishaute12 күн бұрын
You could absolutely use a 4 thread overlock! That would be much quicker too! Happy sewing. 🪡

What is the purpose of adding a drawstring after you’ve already put in a full elastic waistband?
@thedocishaute12 күн бұрын
I had the same thought. I’m sure the drawstring could be optional. I like the appearance of it, but it’s completely up to you! 😊

That knit pants and shirt pattern, the pants have two pattern pieces and really detailed fit instructions. I saw it made up in longer shorts too, really cute.

I love that pattern! It’s quick and can be made in many different fabrics/prints. You can’t beat 2 pattern pieces for pants! Shorts are a good idea. Thx!
