Thank you! My grandma introduced me to sewing as a kid before she passed. I picked it back up about 3 years ago and self taught from there.

Nice!!! What type of pins did you use for cutting out the pattern. They looked like dots 👀
@thedocishauteАй бұрын
Thanks! Those are flat head pins that I got from Joann a while ago. They do look like dots. 😂

Thanks for the great sew along! Quick question- for the pattern pieces, did you cut A & B pieces on fold right sides together or wrong sides together? The directions are confusing. TIA
@thedocishaute29 күн бұрын
Hi there! 👋 I cut the pieces on the fold with fabric right sides together. If you're using a 45" width fabric use layout 1A and make sure piece 3 is cut out with the pattern piece facing down on the fold. Piece 1 is pattern side up on the fold. If you're using a 60" width fabric use layout 1B Fold both selvages right sides together from top and bottom forming 2 fold and place piece 1 and 3 with pattern piece right side up on the fold. Hope that helps!

I’m surprised you didn’t use a walking foot
@thedocishaute2 ай бұрын
I just got a walking foot. I like to do my sewing alongs for beginners who might not have one. I definitely use it on other projects!

I love the fabric. I never find that at my Joanns. I got that pattern at the hobby lobby sale. I deinitely am making it. Also please stop putting the pins in your mouth and talking. That is very dangerous. I am definitely using my walking foot.

I always worry about the pins in her mouth too
@thedocishaute2 ай бұрын
lol 😂! I never thought about talking with pins in my mouth… I didn’t even realize I did that. Thanks for your concern. 🤗

It had always been my habit to put pins in my mouth. When I returned to sewing a few years ago I found it very hard to break the habit. I had never, previously, thought of the danger.
