Many congratulations on your news - I'm delighted for you. Baby knits are a great way to get back your knitting mojo as they are so quick (tiny garments for tiny people haha!) I do recommend making sure you can chuck them in the washer as you probably won't have time to wash them by hand - unless you are employing a team of nannies!

Congratulations Amanda! I do sympathise, I experienced severe morning sickness and found pregnancy really difficult with all my children. Congrats! Don't get too down on yourself about not knitting. Your body is doing some very hard work right now. I had the same thing happen twice...and to this day I can't look at the shade of purple I was knitting with while pregnant without feeling queasy. And it's been 9 years!

September 15, 2024: I came upon your channel the other day and you are an incredible an sweet charming lady. It goes without saying that your courageous to go off the social media for as long as your body tells you also. Pregnancy is a beautiful and challenging period. You joined so many with the napping, crackers and to all that makes you feel comfortable. We are family here so as family no execuses for the room. It is the company we are keeping. You look fabulous. I am enjoying the videos you have made as a newbie to your channel. The stella knit pillow cover makes a brilliant gift for someone who loves quilting. I agree with the envelope flap to have the ability to wash. This is a time for no pressures with the channel we will be here and I know speaking for all subscribers congratulations to you and your husband.

Walking and knitting is an excellent idea. I always have an acrylic project I work on when walking with my dogs (so it’s easily washed).

Congratulations! I am pregnant too and even though I haven't had bad morning sickness, I wasn't able to knit in the first trimester and part of the second trimester but now I am back to it. I am making some baby knits too. I can really recommend the seaside set by petite knit and the first impression pants by drops. If you want to know more, I have a little (unsuccessfull but it's mostly for me anyway) podcast where I talk about it more. I really enjoyed your podcast and your projects.

Barber tubes are also available in larger lengths on Amazon. Wish I knew earlier because buying it single with the cute round tin case is a bit too much when all you need is the tube. Plus you can customize with using a shorter length for infants or childrens.

September 14, 2024: Brilliant with the photo box. I have one that is colorful from Amazon that I use for notes instead of journals. Now I need to get another one!! Love the organization and just was so frustrated with what type of storage to use that limits you too. The needles are priceless and making a home for them like the photo box is brilliant. Now, another orgnization to get into to streamline also a small space, I wonder if I could add my crochet hooks? Box could hold row counters also. This has so many possibilities to enjoy the knitting to crocheting with all your needles and hooks in one place. Glad today I came across your channel. Definitely getting the row counters and needle stoppers. 😊

Patterns for babies I've made and loved to give as gifts: Good Old Raglan by Twisted Knitwear; Elinor's Bloomers by Petite Knit; Quick Stitch Cardigan by Bernat; Reversible Knit Lap Blanket by Bernat-I used a sport weight yarn and US 5 needles and got a cute carseat/stroller sized blanket using the same cast on as the pattern.

Congratulations! Such wonderful news - the perfect newborn socks is a great pattern - they stay on those sweet baby feet. The newborn vertebrae is also a great pattern 🧶

Congratulations! You might like Little Knits book by Marie Greene. It has lots of sweaters that are sized newborn-size 12 kids. Lots of classic styles. It also has hats that are sized for the whole family. I use it quite often, even though I don’t have any littles in my family.

Congratulations!!!! Glad it was a good reason why you were unable to film! My fave baby knit is the baby vertebrae. It is so lovely and the fact that it doesn't cover the front makes it great because it doesn't get drool/spit up on it but still keeps baby warm.
