Ouch! I'm so sorry about your hand. You don't realize how many two-handed things you do until one hand is on the DL. Hope the pain eases soon. I second the swatch thing. Last Fall, I frogged a colorwork sweater that was about 90% done because I skipped swatching. Thanks for the sweater episode ❤

HONESTLY! Thankfully the pain subsided by the next day, but goodness it hurt all night haha.

Yes there is a chunky edition of the Novice Sweater 😄 That was my first adult garment I knit, although I never wear it because I it *massive* and it's too uncomfortable, especially with it not having arm shaping, so the sleeves just hang. The yarn I used didnt help, mind you. It's a mainly cotton I think from recycled denim, and doesn't really work, but I was so new to finding yarn alternatives that I just went for whatever guage worked and not the type of yarn 🤭 I keep meaning to frog it and use the yarn for something else.

Ahh thank you! And yes, I can see how cotton maybe wouldn't give the desired effect. Hope you find something else fun to use it for!

Ouch! I've done the same thing. We use cast iron pans for most of our cooking. After burning myself pretty badly, I got some cotton out of my stash and knitted up covers for all our cast iron pan handles. We've been using the covers so much that I've already had to mend one. They work great and I can throw them into the washer any time. Hope your hand is pain free soon.

I agree about not skipping the short rows as a beginner- my first garment I knit a t-shirt and skipped the short rows, it's unwearable to me because of how much it rides up and it drives me insane!
@birchandlily9 ай бұрын
Ahh dang, thats too bad! I wonder if you could remove the collar and pop some short rows in there?

@@birchandlily ooo that's a good idea, maybe I'll give that a shot.... I'm not wearing it anyways so if I ruin it in the process it's not the end of the world
