this is quite literally the best video for this I have ever seen. I have been looking at making a chunky sweater for myself for so long because I love hopes products, but there is no way I can afford one. I haven't been able to crochet or even finger knit like I used to because of life and whatnot. I think you have sparked something in me again my friend so I thank you!

I like the many colors, but it shows a sloppy fit, not properly sitting on shoulders. Personally, I’ll stick to traditional patterns that have fit and class and functionality.

3:08, you really called a lot of people out there hun. I choose to make my clothing though, so I don't fall into that category. I make my clothes because I get to style it in the way I want for way cheaper than going out and buying one for double the price. :)

Crocheter here! Finished the cardigan and it came out AMAZING AHHHH, I can’t tell you how much I love it! The video was very clear on instructions, for the waist coat stich, single crochet at the start of the row then waist coat stich all the way, when you get to the end do a single crochet in the last braid, but ofc what ever works for you!

Does anyone know the size of the yarn she uses ?

She says in the description size 4 yarn in colours tan and off white 2balls of tan and 2 balls of tan. I'd recommend checking the description for more details

Does anyone know a good yarn to use that’s similar to the lush alpaca as that’s been discounted
@darkowlsoul93607 ай бұрын
hi there! i have a suggestion: instead of carrying the yarn, you could float it, which is basically carrying it but leave 3-4 stitches in between them. i make tapistry crochet and that is going to give a much more cleaner look!
@armytea27017 ай бұрын
Can I ask how do you size up? It's for my grandma so I need a bigger size
@rabiahabib71396 ай бұрын
You can size up yarn and the hook size but the look won't be the same. If you want to adjust the pattern add more ribbing rows (to make it wider) but make th total amount of rows and even number so the stitch count is even. Then for making your two panels ( 6:13 ) add more rows so that it goes up to the place where you want to add the v neck and sleeves (this will make the vest longer) then make the v neck and sleeves by following the pattern (bear in mind your stitch count won't be the same as hers) HOPE THIS HELPS AND IS CLEAR IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS JUST ASK. I DON'T RECOMMEND MODIFYING PATTERNS IF YOUR A BEGINNER BC YOU MIGHT GET LOST. you'll definitely need more yarn so get a bunch more to have on hand eg if your making it double the size in the pattern you'll need double the amount of yarn I can't tell you how much bc I don't know your grandma's measurements

I Absolutely love this cardigan and the humour you have provided in making the video, it is fabulous. I would like to try doing it myself but have no idea how many balls of yarn to order. I am in the UK and have tried sourcing the yarn you have used but see it is discontinued. I have found a substitute but don't know how many balls to buy to do the same block work you have done. I hope you are able to give me some idea. Many thanks and i am sooooooo looking forward to seeing the next one. I have often thought about doing my own design and i love that you have done this, it is truly inspirational.
