Just something about its look that bugs me LOL I just don’t like it. I really like my tracks cameras I had a crew of about eight guys doing concrete work at my house. It was so much fun watching the camera trying to keep track of the same guy LOL. As for apple it doesn’t bother me and I don’t use the Google feature. I received this camera a few days ago and so far it’s doing good. But out of my nine reolink cams I like my PT AUTRA PTZ a bit more and my track cameras second. Someone mentioned that wish these cams came in black well in one area I didn’t like the white it just stuck out too much. Rather than painting it I used some grey duck tape to give two of them a grey and white cameo look. That was about three months ago and the Gorilla tape is still sticking in place. I watched your video on how to select a security system, and if I could, I would listen to you and go with the wired Alibi cameras. However, price, installation and reinstallation price (renting), and finding a reputable dealer that will have them are big deterrents for me. While being new to the camera world, I have learned I would prefer non-wired cameras for easy installation, a 2K or 4K camera, no subscription, 24-hour recording, a light/siren, a solar panel (but I am concerned with durability if it has a cable), mobile app, and pre-event recording. While I have found a couple of options, I have a big question. When you go to Amazon reviews, cameras like Ring have fantastic reviews from thousands of people. And then I look for cameras or companies that fit the bill like Eufy/Reolink, and they have much worse reviews. So I just don't understand. Do these companies put all the bells and whistles on the camaras, but they just break down or are cheaply made? Do their apps just suck? Any advice on something that fits the bill and has good quality that will last? I really hope you can reply, but even if you can't, thank you very much for putting knowledgeable information out there. From having zero camera experience, your channel has been a lifesaver.

Reolink products implement nice features and video, but not a an option for me until you integrate with Apple HomeKit.

Hi George. I just picked up a Reolink 16 channel 12 mp ultra HD 8 camera pro grade wired system from Costco. 4 TB. Is this still considered comsumer grade( Even though there advertising Pro grade) Your thoughts on it please Thank You Greg

I have had my Eufy security system for or 6 months now. I have never been so dissappointed in a product, ever and customer service sucks as dos the website community. $1300 invested and I'm throwing it all away and starting over with a different company. Eufy sucks!!!

No Zoom so not a PTZ camera. Still waiting for a ColorX with zoom. I didn't like the design at first but I've warmed up to it. Practically they've done a good job at getting everything into it including the 20,000mAh battery. Would personally prefer cables and connections to be on the top away from potentially being pulled out if installed within reach but for weather proofing I understand why they would do that.

I still prefer fingerprint over HomeKey, BUT I am waiting for smart locks with ultra wide band (UWB) support, so you can keep your iphone in your pocket. Expected for early 2025... I hope Aqara is also in the game

How does it compare to the Trackmix? I have a few trackmix cameras now, both wireless and wired, which are my favourite so far. I like the dual lens function and the solid build.

Great video George. I dont have a system on my house in the country and Im ready to install one myself. I am a siding installer, recently I did a siding color change on a house, and removed the 4 cameras because they wouldnt match the new siding color. the cameras are like new and are flir PE133E. I want to do a wired system, should I buy a NVR and build a system around my free cameras, or do they have to be unlocked by password? I just want a simple 4 camera on the monitor system. thanks.

I'm not an Apple fanboy so this sounds great. Although I would like an optional color of black. It would make it less conspicuous at night.

Looks like a game changer if the hardware doesn't suck/fail in bad weather (the limitations noted by Reolink are kind of disappointing temp-wise). Motion detection mode with pre-record = genuine footage (not just shots of the bad guys ass as he runs away with your stuff) and months without charging. So awesome.

Great video as always, George! I’m excited to try the new Nest. I had the 2nd Gen and replaced it with the Ecobee a couple of years ago. My wife has never liked the Ecobee. She feels like she could use the scheduling functions in the Nest much more intuitively than the Ecobee. When I showed her this a few weeks ago she was excited and said she will eventually want to get this new Nest!

Been viewing a few of your videos and just subscribed. I have 5 Hikvision turrets and NVR. Keeps going offline and just want to replace them. The Cat6 wire is in place and fine with back boxes. What camera system would you recommend. These seem great but can they be installed on the back boxes ? The reason for wanting to use the back boxes I dont want to make more holes in the masonry.
