I waited for many years and finally there is a lock that is supporting EU locks with a latch and Apple Homekey support. Have one for a month and glad I waited because this is the product I was waiting for. And with the latest beta firmware it is also possible to completely switch off the beeps. Love it.

I have this lock, the U200, as well. I absolutely love it. My partner has decided that for all future locks HomeKey or the future equivalent is now always required. I love not only that, but the fingerprint reader for how fast it is, plus the backup of my normal key just in case. As a tech enthusiast, I also love the Matter over Thread component; this is a great lock and by far my favorite so far

I have two Schlage Encode Plus locks and love them. However, I am totally getting a U200 for the door from inside my garage into the house. I currently have a Schlage dumb deadbolt and need to make it smart. This is the perfect solution.

It took a long time for a lock to unseat the Schlage Encode Plus as my favorite. But I think this one tops it for me.

Great review. Agree with all your comments. Put one on my new place in Australia I just moved into recently. Great SmartLock ! I thought I would use my Apple Watch like I did at my last place with the Schlage, but I find I usually use the finger print scanner. Super quick response. That keypad is great as is so versatile as you can put it in a number of places that suit including onto glass !! (Was surprised to see you screwwing it into your front door when you said you rent there ! lol)

Love it, Love you, my brother, love the smile, and how life is treating ya.. So far my Wyze lock has been reliable , just eat batteries replacement is like every six months. But i want aqara if i ever replace it. Aqara and Hue bulbs has been the most reliable of all the smart home products I have had even without internet when switching my ISP modems Wyze lock and HUe lights still work perfectly via zigbee connections

Hi! Can all these settings be configured remotely without a Bluetooth connection? I have the Aqara U200 set up as an accessory, and so far, I can only remotely lock and unlock it. However, whenever I try to perform other actions, it says "Bluetooth not connected." Do I need to set it up as a child device for this to work? Thanks!

I know you’re more of a video camera guy, and you believe in alarms but without the monthly fee - but could you take a look at the new ADT Alarm, with the new Trusted Neighbor feature? It works with the Google Nest Doorbell Battery/2nd Gen Wired and the zwave Yale Assured Lock 2. I’d love your opinion on how that feature!

We've had more people call us wanting to replace their Vivint system than any other Security Company. I'm personally not a fan either. So no, I wouldn't recommend Vivint.

There is no Auto Unlock, but with the fingerprint & Apple HomeKey, there’s really no need.

I still prefer fingerprint over HomeKey, BUT I am waiting for smart locks with ultra wide band (UWB) support, so you can keep your iphone in your pocket. Expected for early 2025... I hope Aqara is also in the game

It does have that feature. You can toggle it on in the settings of the Aqara app.

You’d need it paired to an Aqara Hub or an Apple Home Hub (Apple TV or HomePod).

If you use anchors for the screws it’s pretty secure.

This goes for any keypad or video doorbell for that matter. But the percentage of instances of these things being tampered with or stolen are very low. If it happens, usually you’re being targeted & in that case, you have bigger problems.
