Great comparison, I like turrets for corners and entrances, ptz is nice for our backyard to keep an eye on the dog when we let him out

Watching a dog is a great use case for a budget friendly PTZ. But no matter how much I loved my dog, I wouldn’t be dropping $1700 for a professional grade model. lol

Great job explaining different types of cameras. What would really be appreciated is a video of different outside cameras low operating temperatures. People in the north or up in the mountains get -⁰ temperatures and it would be great to know which cameras will work. Thanks.

Anyway to counter someone that does a walk up block of your Wi-Fi signal disabling cams?? Curious of your insight on this. Thx for great quality content as always!

You’re welcome & thanks for watching! First let me say, WiFi jamming is VERY rare. If it does happen it’s usually because you’re being targeted. If that’s the case, you have bigger problems….BUT if it is happening, the way to counter it is by getting a wired NVR system that doesn’t rely on WiFi.

Thank you again! Thoughts on Ubiquiti?
@GeorgeLangabeer4 күн бұрын
I’m not a fan. They make quality networking products, but on the camera side their stuff is subpar. Way too expensive for what you get & in most cases their cameras have horrible night vision.

@ very interesting. Would love to chat with you about it sometime! Thanks for all you do!

any advice for a camera system that focuses mainly on detail recorded? need it indoor in car shop where need to see all possible details of any damage caused during repair... PoE option
@GeorgeLangabeer3 күн бұрын
You’d want something professional grade & 4K. Depending on how close you want detail, you may want a Varifocal camera.

Love your videos and thank God you're doing well! I'm really in between the alibi cameras vs ubiquiti for outdoor around my home. Which one would you recommend?
@GeorgeLangabeer5 күн бұрын
Appreciate that! Not even close, Professional Grade Alibi all the way. Ubiquiti isn’t professional grade and the night vision is a joke. Just keep in mind I’m talking Alibi’s professional Grade stuff, not their entry level stuff…big difference. This is the system I recommend: kzbin.info/www/bejne/b2bJpKJ_l6-SmKssi=-lwsakPXQwW9wbgF

Do they make combination wired and wireless camera systems? Or would it be more cost effective to do two separate systems?
@GeorgeLangabeer5 күн бұрын
Yes they do. Several top tier brands offer those options.

@@GeorgeLangabeer can you recommend brands? Do you sell some? I have been doing research based on your videos and other online videos.

When I was doing renovations I installed internet camera wire where I thought I would want cameras. Can you recommend brands that would use this type of wire?
@GeorgeLangabeer4 күн бұрын
As a professional, I’m not a fan of mixing in wireless with wired. I’m always going to recommend going all Wired (much more reliable). For all Wired my go to is Alibi Security (which I would sell you). If you insist on mixing, Reolink is probably the way to go (but you’d be on your own for buying it).

As long as it’s Cat5e or Cat6 (or above), pretty much any brand you find at Lowe’s or Home Depot will do.
