Don’t know if anyone will respond however… purchased the Brinsea ovation 28 incubator started with 40 eggs in that one and 20 in a different incubator and only hatched three out of my old incubator and six out of the Brinsea. Monitored the temperature and humidity by the machine and a separate internal thermometer humidity device. Is it possible that putting paper towels on the bottom for lockdown would cause problems? That’s the only thing that I did different??😔

How do you get the white string to not break

Would be a lot better if a system not requiring repeated removal and replacement of screws in plastic. Not a matter of if rather when the plastic fill fail.

my incubator brinsea 28 age yesterday I put the eggs in the incubator and it was working, but this afternoon the incubator did not work. I tried a lot to know the reason. What is the problem? Please help me.

This is a great machine and it have hatched several chickens in my case.. However. It sucks bigtime mostly because with age the screws that hold the inside gets rusted and impossible to open up. I have 2 machines i can't use because of this and theres no way to get them operational. The machine also get very dirty after a hatch so a cleaning routine has to be done. I hope you guys can make it better at some point so its easier to open.

Would have been useful for you to show how you change the temperature! I’ve had mine plugged in over 24 hours and keeps dropping to 36.1 (it’s currently 27 degrees in my home, so external temp is not the issue)

I couldn't see it very well, but is there a gap on the lid around where the humidity control is? Does the incubator have percise even temperature everywhere inside the incubator? Thanks!

I put in the maxi II EX incubator a egges in a different ages, one of them was middle-aged and the other was at the beginning. My humidity rose to 52% after it was set to 42%. I think the reason is because one of the chicks hatched and others tried... and I prepared another place to receive the chicks. Which hatch so that the humidity that rises because of them does not affect the other eggs... but despite that, the humidity remains high... knowing that I opened the ventilation hole, but to no avail... so what should I do... please help... I do not want the embryos that are in the room to be harmed. Inside the new eggs.

my pump is not working.

I'm curious about the water cannister solution in the video. The small water transporter between the water cannister and the machine does'nt seem to be included. Is it something you have to order separately?

Where are the instructions on how to replace the three fans? I looked all over the site and online and no where does it tell how to change the fans? Emailing Brinsea provided nothing on how to do this other then remove the top but there no accessible panel to get to the fans.

K, what I did was using a dremel grinder with an abrasive wheel, I enlarged one of the holes in the disk, but, it wasn't working, the egg just wasn't turning enough. Even at 20 seconds. Soooo, I had some shelf liner I got from Micheals craft store and cut out a piece using the cardboard matt that came with the incubator. Didn't work, too much traction, sooo, I put the traction side down, and viola! worked like a charm! It grabbed the "floor" of the incubator but still had enough traction to grab the egg well. Also, the egg would start to spin end for end. hmmm, I put a egg I got from my chicken that lays huge eggs, slightly smaller than my peahen and it kept the peahens egg straight. And at 20 seconds they both turn 180 degrees perfectly. Make sure that the shelf liner has one side that is more slip resistant than the other, that side goes down. I hope this helps anyone that bought this machine thinking that it would turn peahen eggs. Or anyone that doesn't want to spend the big money for a huge incubator.

What a load of tosh. Lets see you clean the ovation after an incubation. You need more than a brush, believe me as I am doing it now. Considering you need to sterilise this piece of equipment, there are so many nooks and crannies where desease can remain. Disapointed to say the least.

I can't get it to actually draw the water in. I'm using a ova 56, measured the replacement tube, made sure to do the loop left to right. It tries to pull the water from the container but it's like one step forward, one step back. I've tried having the container at level with the incubator, lower than it, and above it. Please help?

How long does it take for the pump on the 56 to get water into the incubator?

I on my eigth day off installing now and it is still not working.
