What shader did you use for your Darton Hall video and is it the same shader that you used for this video and the previous one?
@SisterSunny19 күн бұрын
as much as I know for a fact that no. 2 is more realistic, no. 1 kinda looks like a river's natural floodplains, which would be super unique in a city for once 👀

I feel like making a mix and match of both farm 1 and 2 will work best. For one uniformity is just esthetically more susceptible to becoming boring and getting glanced over/loosing the beholders focus. for second depending on where on the river one field might have more or less need for this retention wall depending on currents, and for third this tree fence is an investment, it costs both space and work to install it, not everyone might way the costs vs the benefits to the same degree. But that's just my 2cents.
@Viggoman19 күн бұрын
Thats very true

Number 2 work well for bigger Buisnesses like maybe a big Bakery with own fields since in many Arabic lands Bread is a huge Deal. I can imagine for Number 1 to be smaller private gardens for Houses near the river.

I see! Good ideas

number 2 is more beautiful and also more realistic/ immersive.

N°2 is perfect for a more open area of cultivation, as it's the case here: almost open to the sea(?). The n°1 fits well for bridge in-between cultivation areas, as the bridges will already do part of the job the mote would do. This said, n°2 would fit perfectly everywhere, adding the date palm trees to the city landscape, so it would be a win-win.

11:15 I suppose, if alcohol is not a taboo, there would be many individuals making "potions" of lesser quality, perhaps adding substances with addictive effect. Also, there would be many kinds of "drinks", one's that are only for VIPs, sweet, delicate, stronger for soldiers, and slop for rabble.

As far as farm type 1 and 2, they are both nice. I like variety, I would strive to continue to make each farm area a one of a kind experience.

Old fields but with the mound and palms? It would make it look somewhat oasis-ish, where you can walk through the fields along the little bending stream
@Viggoman19 күн бұрын
That would be an easy way of fixing the old farms for sure

Should we see the staircases as some kind of slope? It's gonna be difficult to take the carts up those stairs otherwise

Everytime i see an upload i watch with amazement what you have build. The Details, the shere size and complexity, all the while making the places feel Real using structure that makes sense and lore that reinforces the thought of people living their lifes there, just wow. I have been trying to build Minecraft cities myself, i could never reach your level of creativity and skills. Thank you very much for sharing all the best to you and greetings from Germany :)

I really like the one with the date palms. It'd make sense for the people to build it, like you said, it'd give them some more control over the river flow and how much water goes in the farm, etc.. Also I noticed there's the small islet around the mouth of the river close to the date palms, I think it'd make sense to build a small water mill on it with a water wheel. Keep at it dude.

The worst part about having a cat or a dog is knowing that one day most probably during our lifetime they will pass away. I'm sorry for your loss. We've lost our dog, Aika, after 16 years of having her this June. I miss her a lot. We've lost a couple dogs in the last few years and it never gets any easier...
