Thanks for this very informative and insightful video! I had first seen this on the Gerry Anderson store, but now I have gone all in on the Kickstarter. It looks wonderful and I am thrilled that they have added the space crew. What a great idea! I seem to recall that about a year or so ago, Big Chief Studios had announced retro style 3.75” figures from Anderson properties, including Space 1999. I am not sure what happened to that release, but that line was canceled. Just a few days ago I now see preorders for those same figures now from Master Replicas. I can imagine folks interested in those figures might want an appropriately sized Eagle! It’s a good time to be a Space 1999 fan. I really hope the Zica Eagle gets funded!

This is why we never have anything nice. We get 4 figures from Hasbro and it’s now 175. A premium 1/12 vehicle shouldn’t be compared to a cheap 1/18 toy. It’s like comparing a cheap Toyota Corolla to a Lexus RX. I respect your opinion not to buy one but encouraging others to skip it because you don’t think it’s worth it is not cool. A lot of people are going to FOMO in once it’s released. 275 is the best price you’ll ever get when it’s sold out.

Thanks for paging through this! I'm tempted by it as I do want to collect more DC figures, but I don't love that they don't have pictures of every figure. Still tempted though, as I do love browsing catalogues like this. Do you know of any websites that archive all the figures like this book?

Figure Realm dot com is the best site I've seen for having pics of complete toy lines. thou not perfect. I think the reason some figures are omitted from this book is simply copyright licensing with the manufacturer. I didn't see any Takara DC figures in it so they probably didn't even contact them. Used, this book sells for around $10 on ebay with free ship. It does make a swell coffee table book and paging though it I found figures I never knew existed like the Red Son Superman figures. thanks for comment amigo. Always love to see what ppl write.

Good information. I personally have stopped buying the stuff from Hasbro and other big boys in the toy industry in recent years. I like what the smaller companies like 4Horsemen, Valverse or Spero Studio are making, although in my country their figures are not so easy to get. I had tried to get some Savage Crucible figures but they are already sold out and I fear the Harbinger Studios' opinion on reissues is not in my favor. At the moment my attention is on some chinese companies, several of them don't even have the license for the characters whose figures are based on though.

Realised the true costs & risks of someone else having the models so opened the kickstarter to take pre orders and used that money to buy his own 3D printer and other equipment with that money. And likely damaged that equipment due to not using & cleaning it properly. One of thee biggest downfalls of the Airwolf community is Most people who make stuff insist on working alone or working anonymously so no one will help them.

Hey, thanks for the shoutout. Technically it's Ren Ken Cen but it's no biggie. Eventhought the mold is just one but with a few different armours and weapons, the details and sculpt are good enough that I ok seeing it again in different colours. Have played enough fantasy rpg to know Dwarves come in different froms and classes. Glad to see you are confident they will suceed as I am worry it won't! I agreed that they need to step up their markecting and advertising. I do find it odd that on the update page, the creator is asking the backer help to bring awareness to the kickstarters. Asking people to interview them or do podcast etc? Shouldn't that be their job to do that, not the other way around? For now I will keep a close eye on this as I do want them to suceed. Ideally I want them to reach the Oglin (liked the look of them) or the Royal Guard tiers. Just the ones I would get is the armour type, either the Soldier (give a Stone Dwarf vibe) or Paladin but I liked the Royal Guard colours the most. One last thing I found odd is that there is no shipping cost detail on the kickstarter page? Usually action figures do shows a chart on the shipping fee to other countries?

Sir RKC, I absolutely love, LOVE this kickstarter idea. I want this to win, I want it to be big. Marketing needs tweaking. 1. Michael needs to put himself front/center and sell the designer. 2. the figures needs to be repriced to $20 - loin clothes, $26 deluxe $32 super deluxe armor and $50 for the gold king. 3. more marketing material - pics videos etc. I think its worth saving.

So-called “scalpers” are essentially unauthorized independent resellers. The main reason companies have a problem with this is bc they don’t get a piece of the action like they do from bulk orders. Maybe Valaverse doesn’t want fans paying by extra for their toys. But, if we think about it, in some ways resellers feed the preorder market by inspiring collectors to avoid marked up prices. It’s like a weird symbiosis.
@prowlprime
@prowlprime 27 күн бұрын
Nonsense. Scalpers are absolutely not independent resellers. Scalpers buy up huge amounts of product for the express purpose of 1) reducing accessibility so that 2) prices are driven up and 3) people have no choice but to go the "independent resellers" to purchase something that should have been available to customers at retail. What you describe as "independent resellers" are an artificial creation - they have inserted themselves unnecessarily, and artificially, into the transactional process between seller and buyer. Keep in mind, companies such as Target or Amazon or Big Bad Toy Store have already made a deal, with Hasbro and others, to sell Hasbro's products. Hasbro to Target to Consumer - that's how it works. "Independent Resellers" interrupt this chain - they create artificial scarcity and interject themselves as a necessary (and entirely unnecessary) part of the process. Instead, they make it Hasbro to Target to "Unnecessary Interrupter of Supply Chain" to Consumer. "Independent Resellers" do not feed the preorder market to anywhere near the extent to which you claim - as a consumer, I cannot preorder everything. I rely on product being available at authorized retailers for items I want to purchase but do not have the immediate wherewithal to pre-order. Why do you think retailers (wisely or not) have attempted to stop, or slow down, "independent resellers" from buying up their product by placing limits on how many copies of items consumers can purchase? They're trying to make sure that everyone who wants an item at the stated price actually has an opportunity to purchase it. Consumers cannot do so if "independent resellers" continue to buy all of the product and cause artificial scarcity and artificial price rises (aka, artificial product cost inflation). If you support this kind of thing, or you are yourself an "independent reseller," that's fine with me. It's your life. But let's not pretend that what you're describing is anything positive - it's not.

I am a fan (and buyer) of the Cosmic Legions line, specifically because they ARE space fantasy. What is missing in he market is a pure "space exporation" line, there is none, along the lines of my old favourite, Mattel's "Major Matt Mason" from the late 60's and early 70's (which were 5 inch but with cool space vehicles). I like Cosmic Legions because they can either be space 'war' or space 'exploration' based ... plus I love a good space suit =o)

My opinion when a toy saler sales items too make a few bucks over then what they've payed for it that's a resaler but when a person literally buys up everything on the shelves and on the pegs certain exclusives just so noone else is able too purchase them or uses Bots too help them too buy up all these certain exclusive pre-orders like on Mattel creation,pulse Target Walmart and other toy websites just so noone else can preorder them that's a SCALPER ,I can understand vintage toys where their more rare higher in prices,but buying up all newer products just too double or triple the price that's scalping all day SCALPERS are ruining toy collecting for a lot of newer and oldier collectors SCALPERS are literally making it really hard too even preorder all pre-orders are gone in seconds where if your a completies your going too have too buy for crazy high prices,unless you just say fuck it and do with out ,an collection is going too be missing certain key figures,and that's messed up

A bunch of stuff I like was released a few years before I got into this, so resellers are how I was able to get some of my favorite pieces. Like my Mafex Dark Knight Rises Bane figure. I love that thing. I am now also planning on probably flipping my Classified Dragonfly when I get it. I'm mostly decided on not collecting any flying vehicles. I already don't have any watercraft or arctic & desert themed stuff. If I do sell it, I'm only gonna sell it for like $75 over what I paid, and throw in the Mickey Mouse Cobra Commander from my HISS, as I don't really want him. So, I figure that makes a good value for me and for whomever missed out when it was on the market.

action force is not over priced based on what you get. if you want over priced go look at hasbro and starwars black series. 24.99 for a figure with 1 accessory maybe 2 if your lucky. based on the extra 3-4 sets of hands, a stand and at least 2 guns per figure plus a knife. his price is not a bad price. every line has drawbacks and perks. Hasbro is on this list because of the direction properties like Star Wars and Marvel have gone. (How long did it take them to get a baby Yoda merch to market?) It seems like someone has at least taken notice of how to reboot Transformers for a younger generation while skewing the comic books to older fans. Funko fell into the Simpsons trap of not knowing to end something. The only thing I collect from Super 7 is Thundercats. The two issues I have with them is 7 inch scale and there 3.75 in Joes have so little articulation. These aren't the days of Kenner Star Wars. I would of bought so many troop builders just to fill out the ranks of both Joe sizes we have now. Its like they took a page from Apple and wanted all of there stuff to be incompatible / out of scale from the rest of the toy industry.
