Just pulled over 4 big sycamore in yard for power lines snd house being brought in..its strange how they are much different than other species of trees these had dead tops and then next part would be solid then 15ft more dead then base base was solid..completely wrapped in poison ivy..absolutely covered was to hot im to sick to clomb them wasnt worth the pay so pulled them things over 2 were that size 1 had double co dominant from 5ft up wrapped in wire..the other was huge about 6 or 7ft didnt have my 32 inch bar so had to cut both sides.a limb up high got caught on nearby tree shot had to be perfect and i was off by few inches but came down successfully praise God...very strange wood cant remember ever doing a large sycamore all these years until now.or ive forgotten.

Brave of you to climb such a thoroughly dead tree!

Nice try but that sizwell wasnt haven it in that wind and dead fiber. With throwline as tag line it would have went in the road angle more.but ive found gotta use that thick weaver line .be surprised makes huge difference..i either throw it from the tree or have ground guys shoot line in it then cut and pull ..in some cases like that.sometimes gotta pull rope threw but it usually works of they keep it tight no bounce

Looks more like a species of poplar as opposed to sycamore
