I must unfortunately add for 2024: Don‘t visit Malta. If you are interested in ancient temples and history it‘s a great place to spend a few days. I‘ll be flying back to rainy Germany tomorrow and will never ever come back to this creepy place. Folks, fix your traffic problem, offer clean restrooms, turn down the music in restaurants, respect pedestrians, and 112 more things you have to work on. I can recommend Crete, Catalonia and many other places in Europe for vacation, but not this completely overcrowded and overrated spot. Sorry, I’m really not trying to hurt people’s feelings, I just want to spare your precious vacation time.
@AlexMarkTravel2 күн бұрын
Thank you for your comment, spot on, not much to add. Except that also the sea is polluted as well many beaches have sewage spill constantly. But yes, 2-3 days max to see some history that's OK.

Alex, serious question. Do you think us Maltese youth are doomed?
@AlexMarkTravel4 күн бұрын
Yes, I would agree so if this question relates to the future on this island . The only good solution will be to move abroad as things here will only worsen.

A golden rule of thumb if you're eating here, is that if a place looks it's designed to look "attractive" then it's pretty much a tourist trap and will be way overpriced, especially for more exotic foods like Asian or Mexican. Locals rarely eat at the food court, colloquially known as Is-Suq due to its former usage as a market, and tend to go dine at more reserved out of the way spots like Angela's and San Paolo Naufrago, who possibly makes the best pizza in the city.

Do people in Italy have something like chicken parmigiana or chicken Marsala ? 😅 because here in the US people think these two are the authentic Italian foods 😅

Can I walk from the cruise port to Zero sei trattoria. If so how long should it take. I will be in Valletta in October.
@AlexMarkTravel8 күн бұрын
Yes, you can, it will take you some 15-20 minutes max. Use Google Maps it's really not far away. Especially as those restaurants at the Waterfront, where's the cruise port are cruiser-tourist traps. So, smart idea to walk a bit for cheaper and much better food.

Will also be going to Angela’s and the Valletta market. All looks so good. Thanks.

As an Italian I prefer the typical Roman pizza, it is very seasoned but not excessively like the American one where they put tons of mozzarella and other things
@AlexMarkTravel12 күн бұрын
Mine favourite as well, thin pastry easier for the stomach. And toppings come from genuine Italian food, meat, vegetables, Italian cheese. American pizza is a completely different product.

@@AlexMarkTravel... "thin pastry easier on the stomach" ... yes, and tastier ... Those who are gluten intolerant and love the smell of Pizza it is the perfect way to cook Pizza for everyone 😊 😀 you taste the Pizza but the king is the topping for flavour.
