In my studies, regarding the walking on water miracle….i’ve seen some analogies. Jesus walking on water points out Christ can do all and is above all things. Waves are crashing all around and against the boat as the wind howls. In our lives, we can relate to our “problems” as waves, as storms, upsetting our lives. Like the phone call from the doctor. The continued losing ground trying to pay monthly bills. Huge problems. But Christ conquers these problems. He is above the waves, He is not drowning in a swirl of confusion and bills. His focus is on His disciples. And when He commands Peter to exit the boat and come to Him, Peter follows. Until…….until Peter takes his eyes off Christ, and again focuses on the waves, the problems, and he begins to sink, and drown. He doesn’t continue his focus on the salvation offered by Christ, to seek Him above all else. Now the boat itself can be compared to our lives, as we “float” along on the “sea” of life. Storms come. They always have, and always will. We can’t control the storms. What we CAN control though is our reaction to the storms. Our personal “storms” our burdens, will eventually upset and sink our lives if we don’t seek and find help. That help is only available through God’s only Son, Jesus Christ. Notice, as leaders no as Christ remains outside of the boat (outside our lives) storms continue to batter the boat. But as soon as He ENTERS the boat, the storm dies down and the waters become quiet. This is not to say that by accepting and following Jesus as your Savior will keep all problems away, and life will be simple and fun and full of all sorts of great things. No. It only means to show us that there is a way to make it through these life-storms, by having faith and trust in Christ, turning our problems over to Him, trusting Him to guide and lead us forward, wherever that may take us. Repent . Christ is waiting for your answer. He loves you and wants you with Him, in His kingdom for all eternity. Seek Him while He is near. Merry Christmas friend.

Look at the commentaries from the 1600s and even 1800s they refer to the lion and the lamb in 11:6 of Isaiah. Some calling it a representation of Christ. Never is Christ mentioned as a wolf. David also fought off a lion that was trying to attack his sheep.
