The S50 is not really very good for planets either. The Unisteller has 85 mm of aperature and it does Jupiter well. It also costs $3000.

Hello. First thanks for the tutorials on pixinsight regarding the star catalogs to download. On the pixinsight web page in the Downloads tab, what is the difference between Soft ware distribution and free distribution. Knowing that I want to try pixinsight 45 days. Do I click on soft ware distribution or free distribution. Thank you very much. Sorry for my written English, it is not my usual language. Mario

A while back I was researching the heck out of the internet for the right tank bag for our Adventure Bike where the drone and Go-Pro accessories could fit snugly in to. 1000's of "reviews" on YT, but just as the "reviewer" is about to show the INSIDE of the tank bag, he pans away. Missing the most crucial piece of information. I'm at that point with the AM5n and tripod now ...

Would it be possible to add profiles for the Askar C1&C2 filters? That would be awesome. Thank you!!

I was on my telescope outside for the last two hours watching mars. I had a mount on the telescope to hold my phone, ended up catching amazing footage, never seen a space photobomb before, its pretty cool!

Getting away from the city of lights is not necessary because both the moon and Mars are very bright.

Over time won't the weight of the battery pack, and the off-set batter holder cause undue strain on the motor, wearing it out prematurely?? I have a 3D printed dew shield but it falls out/off with the slightest little bump. Do you have a rubberized sleeve or something to provide better gripping of the dew shield to the opening of the lens? I love the idea of a filter holder. I've got Oiii and other nebula filters, moon and light pollution filters, etc that are 2" and while the fit eyepieces they don't fit the opening of the seastar lens properly.

The stock Solar filter already has a pin hole. Just hold your hand or a piece of paper to see the sun

Hi, great video. I got my S30 last week and took some great shots of the sun but no luck with star gazing. When using the Go To it always stops at ‘distance to the object 0.1 deg? Also will not stack after the first 10 seconds? Any ideas? Thanks

Very nice test under the sun and moon. Although I had the impression that the 174 wasn't quite in focus at the sun. The test at Saturn is of course hardly meaningful given the focal length is far too short and Saturn is much too low at the horizon.

Thank you. I have been waiting for this for quite a while. This heads up has allowed me to place a pre-order through your link. Actually the price is very reasonable. Hope it works. I know there have been some concerns about power supply using a routine setup?

Wonder how it compares to the Optec 2 inch Pyxis rotator. I bought one 20 years ago and spent $1300.

With the right values DBE always won from Graxpert. In my opinion yes, MARS is better, but it's not a one click solution like they said it would be

Probably overpriced like basically everything in this hobby. Estimating between $30 and $330. Love how people sell flat panels for $350, and the plebs even buy into it. Literally just a box with led's and some diffuser.

Why, why, why would you image this target with a filter that filters out the target's namesake. You can't get the reflection Flaming part with a narrowband filter. So sad. I wish I could post what the target SHOULD look like here, but I haven't posted it up to my Astrobin yet.
