When is enough enough? This issue was dealt with years ago. This never should have happened but it did. The victim and family said they forgave him. He did what his elders required and then went back into ministry. Obviously God has blessed pastor Robert and his family. What does Jesus died on the cross that our sins might be forgiven mean? Pastor Robert has admitted often of his moral failure when he was younger. The reason the victim gave for speaking out all these decades later was so all the other victims could come forward. There haven’t been any. I don’t believe there are any others. I believe Pastor Robert repented, dealt with it was forgiven by God and was given God’s blessing to minister to others. Pastor Robert didn’t build Gateway, God did and God wasn’t wrong. I don’t know how this should have been dealt with this second time around but it has become a very sad situation.

You cannot legitimately apologize if you are not culpable. Who knowingly constructed a false statement and/ or knowingly permitted a false statement to be released? That person(s) should be making the public apology and asking forgiveness from the Gateway congregation. Robert Morris is the one person who should be confessing and apologizing because, before or after the fact, if he knew what was being reported was inaccurate. Fleeing and hiding is unacceptable behavior for a shepherd. A resignation does not absolve Robert Morris for the grief he has caused the Gateway congregation. Complete transparency is required. According to CC’s own words, at the time RM was confronted with his crimes/sins against against CC, he confessed and asked forgiveness from CC and her parents. And they forgave him. JESUS tells us that as often as our transgressor repents, we should forgive him. CC has made no allegations/accusation that RM ever again assaulted her. Comparing Joseph’s story where he was falsely accused to Robert’s very sick pediphilian acts against an innocent 12 year old girl is absolutely blasphemous. That woman must feel deep betrayal and feel like what happened to her is being swept under the rug all in the name of trying to restore a sick man who should never have been a church leader.

Well i guess the repentance is not that true after all if we kick pastors who made a sin and repented for it 35 years ago. Like hello, we forgive murders and thieves and terrorist but not a pastor who commited SA did no even had intercourse with her. What is so interesting about Evangelical churches and ministries is that if their leaders were to fall into sin. They are either removed from ministry or required to step down from the Pastorate. Yet they will rally together to vote for a former President, who was found liable for sexual assault with a woman, slept with a pornstar while his wife was pregnant, caused an insurrection Jan 6th, tried to over turn an election, found guilty and is a convicted felon. They would say he is God's choice. Yet their own leaders in the Christian faith who labored among them when the members were going through they will show no mercy to. They are a bunch of sick hypocrites
