Besides Cindy Clemeshire the victim of his abuse, his family, wife, sons and daughters are experiencing an unprecedented season of pain and shame. It's a difficult position to be where someone you loved and admired comes out to be an abuser. Relationships are in jeopardy.

Jack, I am very much for the protection of children. My statement comes from being the wife of a middle school teacher who served for over 30 years. His female students ages 12-15 did and said many shocking things over the years. It is NEVER appropriate to touch an underage child. Robert Morris...if truly repentant.... must publically confess his sin. The church can put out as many statements as they deem fit but it won't change a thing. Yes, God forgives, however this does not absolve a person from taking responsibility for actions. Robert Morris' children, in law children are not guilty by association, they must be utterly devastated. May they seek God's Guidance and Discernment for a very long painful journey.... He has over and over again apologized, confessed, detailed his and the girls ruin. But in doing so, he commercialized the story in a book that did not focus on the crime to the girl. I watched Evans' message and I have to say that this is the first time there has been more scripture come from this pulpit in one sermon. Morris like to tell meaningless stories instead of reading the Word. Morris is worth 117illion dollars. He made that money off of his x congregation That's horrible. Morris' false teaching about tithing (which is only from the old testament's "mosaic law" and not from the New Testament's "New Covenant" which doesn't ever talk about tithing). Morris' fortune is ill gotten, based on lying his way back into the church and being dishonest in his presentation of tithing as meaning people are stealing from God if they don't tithe. He guilted people into tithing, totally despicable. This man is not an honest man or a true pastor and shepherd of his flock. He should turn over those ill gotten gains to Cindy, to other child victims of sexual abuse and to his congregation.

I think people are who are continuing to whine about this sin, need to grow in their own relationship with God and Holy Spirit. God expects us all to be truthful including the age of the girl when we reveal our sin. Had it been handled biblically this would not be happening now. It was never handled righteously. Sorry I got caught and will you forgive me Cindy are two different things. I’m sure Robert is humiliated but Cindy had her innocence stollen by someone she trusted and respected. My thoughts are where were the parents while all this was going on? Who lets a man who is approx 9 years older with their 12 year old innocent daughter? That I don’t get.
