ive been experimenting with all jackhammer, and its actually pretty good if you dont mind risking core tech. but you can do plenty with all jackhammer. make a huge explosion with the freezeframe, deal high amounts of damage, and... well whatever the sawed-on does. you can jackhammer it a bit, and them detach it with the knuckleblaster

I use normal core and pump with jackhammer saw

I’m insane. I love runnin alt core and alt sawed, but keep standard pump. With rocket core snipes and overcharging, area clearance isn’t too big of an issue for me

better use: shotgun core eject/ alt core eject (no matter which will you use) alternate pump and shutgun sawed-off

i use pumpcharge bc it feels easier to projectile boost and normal core eject (i cant play act 1 since i play the demo only)

The projectile boosting is the one thing keepingme from going all Jack hammers. I have the blue and green on the hammer but the red (the one ive stuck on) stays just cause i need that dopamine and reliability of the boost. Im getting closer to switching them every day though

I swear the alt literally evaporated my use of shotgun swapping, but it also made me use more of my weapons and actually be better at the game! Anyways, thanks Jackhammer!

Idk man, ill tell you one thing i know: Seitching up on your loadout once in a while is a great way to have fun with the game, try playing with only a standard revolver for a while, i guarantee you will enjoy playing with the limitations

Bind the "Variant slot 1" key to something close and use it to quickswap to the same variant. You can use "The Bridge" build and also shotgun swap to your hearts content!

I like Hammertine personally. Maurices are a weakness of mine, and Virtues are… Virtues, so having a reliable insta kill against them is necessary for me

Theoretically you can use weapon swapping to reset to cooldown of the jackhammer’s core eject, go for a ride on a rocket, and carpet bomb a room full of enemies. Sounds like fun.

You can technically shotgun swap with one shotgun,just bind the variation of the shotgun

I use Alt Core and Default Pump and Saw, so that I can keep my shotgun swapping, but still can pull out a nuke if I’m above a group of enemies.

The consistency vs destruction argument makes no sense to me when shotgun pump charge is so fast, that you can just deal constant back to back 10 dsmage explosions. The nerf was very much so uncalled for, when i never considered using it already.

while the jackhammer is great, i could never without projectile boosting, even one might mess up my brain i used it in the sandbox and i unironically tried to projectile boost while trying to fight with a cerberus

I use "The Bridge" Loadout but with overpump set as 1st, sawed on as 2nd and core eject as 3rd. The Overpump jackhammer is great for large enemies I don't want to deal with like maurices and sentries, the sawed on is pretty much a second jackhammer punch if the 1st one doesn't do it or I miss the punch, and core eject is pretty much specifically for malicious railcannon nukes. The main thing I like about the jackhammers is how good it is for heavy enemies so having overpump be the first variant chosen when I press the shotgun key is so good for when I need to quick kill a maurice or break a gutterman shield.

I use two jackhammers and the pump charge shot gun I use the pump charge because I don’t use core nuked all that much and the pump charge actually reloads faster

In my opinion i prefer the jackhammer since it does a lot more damage and i'm not really as good at the other mechanics.

The alt sawed on can one shot malfaces with a whiplash cancel while revved up, release the saw after hitting the mal face, slam, jump, and parry the saw. This kills the malface in around 1.5 seconds. A faster way to do it is to parry the saw as it comes out.

I use entirely ALT ‘cause Blue I get to have the Maurice laser more often than I would w/ my red rail cannon, green lets me clear out massive loads of enemies, red is just the same thing but now the weapon itself can yo-yo the chainsaw, and all of them together ‘cause I can use one to get way up high in the air then hot swap between them for consistent 4x damage slams on tougher enemies and large bosses

i only started playing recently, only just now having p-ranked act 2 on violent, i use CE and pump normal, and sawed off alternate, dont know why, it makes more sense to use the pump hammer since it actually does something different, and i don't really pump it at all since it doesn't affect proj boost swapping

theres some new options/keybinds that let you swap to a specific variation or the first variation, so you can keep normal shotgun on the first slot and shotgun swap with just that one shotgun using the sswitch to first or keybind to first variation

ngl when I first unlocked the Jackhammer, I thought I wouldn't use it much, but when I entered the final room in 7-2 and could kill all the Guttermen and Guttertanks without a problem while getting insane movement speed, I swapped all my shotguns for the alternate version. For me, it's the most fun I've had using a single weapon from this game
