Been okaying since 1987 and have played a vast number of speakers. Big English V3 fan, mostly Mesa and big Redback fan after years with greenbacks, creambacks and several others. Ive tried Redbacks with V30s and love them. Also a big fan of CL80s but I find the Redback like a better CL80 blended with greenback. Was using Redbacks/Creambacks not long ago but switched all cabs to V30/Redback for 412s. 212s mostly Redback.

This is a great video. Most great compositions are only as good as the recording, mix, and performance. If the guitar tone is weak a great song is often perceived as a weak song. Tone is KEY! Please do this for every amp out there, so more songs reach success.

which version of the g12t75 is better for metal the new or the old one from 80s and 90s
@zenamplification17 күн бұрын
The newer one is pretty scooped and aggressive, so many players dig it. If you’re more into classic metal the 80’s version is the way to go.

Good video but I think it would be more helpful to put the attenuators back to back with each level of attenuation instead. The differences between them would become much more apparent. I like the Alex the most and it's been discontinued. Figures...
@jsullivan211226 күн бұрын
I noticed a bigger change in the dynamics than anything else, especially with the Alex. Can't say I'm a fan.

This channel consistently gets way better tones than anyone else. Serious question, why is this? It's head and shoulders better than Ola, Pete Thorn, that annoying bald German guy, that Kyle guy etc.

I have 5 412 cabs. Two old 80's PV 412's with G12K-85's. Which are my main cabs I use. I have a Marshall with two G12K-85's on top and two V30's on the bottom. Great cab. And another Marshall cab with V30's on the bottom and 2 GB25's on the top. Another great cab. My other cab I have is another old PV cab with all V30's. Great cab as well. But I am more used to my PV cabs with the G12K-85's more than the others.

Not quite sure on the question, but if you're asking about modern speakers doing the old pulsonic thing you can look into the Celestion EVH or Scumback M75.

Since you include the master section settings but not the master volume i quess we are suppose to assume it's 2 or less right? 2 1/2 -3 onward the MV is another gain knob and where it's set matters....that's a pet peeve of mine though....otherwise good vid

I'll tell you where the modern tube amp always need more development: Making progress toward the prefect master volume circuit, the one that does nothing but gives the amp the feel of a non master volume amp with all its character and subtlety intact, including power stage grind and transformer saturation, but at a variable volume level.
