i do pbn because i dont have plan out the picture ,the colours are already chosen,i have extra paints,.i put down the colours then embellish it with crafty stuff.its your painting put your personality into it,it cannot go wrong,we all are different embrace the unique of you.

If you get a cheap "canvas" painting, folded with wrinkles (likely from China) -- here is a way to have a wrinkle free surface you can paint on. Do not iron it because the heat of the iron can cause it to buckle. Get a piece of mat board the same size as the canvas. Spray one side of the mat board generously with 3M spray glue --- spray evenly and consistently with back and forth motion across the whole thing. Carefully spread your canvas out on top of it -- with your fingers, work the wrinkles out. The wrinkles will be gone and you will have an even, flat surface to paint on. For framing, if you want a sturdier back than the mat board, you could always affix it to a wood backing or book board backing.

I’m really confused about why it it has the sticky side with the clear thing that BEGS to be peeled off like when you get new electronics. So having a background I using clear silicone stamps, I peeled it off. So why is it now ruined as you mention the directions state (I didn’t get any directions with my new wedge). Can someone tell me why it’s made this way and have I truly ruined it?

Can you mount a canvas on a stretcher bar type frame that already has a canvas on it? I'm just starting my 2nd PNB and both of these I brought prestretched on frames. Looks like I may continue and purchasing just the PNB canvas will be more economical.

I looked in my kitchen drawer and found a bottle opener with the end that has a slight curve. I used a glove to hold the paint pod and the end of the bottle opener to open the pod. Worked great for me. Thanks for your videos!

I recently ordered from Craftoria also. Took about 15 days to get the order, and I also thought it was a U.S. based company. Found out all was being shipped from China. Looks like good quality kits (got 3 with the one free deal). Haven't gotten started on anything yet because I have another one I am finishing up first. Other than the rather long shipping time (especially since I accustomed to three day shipping), I can say I am pleased with what I received.

I think the boards are the way to go. I believe they went to canvas so they can charge you more money. PBN started on boards.
