Homers “wine dark sea” comment is because Greek wine was blue, not red. Greeks diluted wine with alkaline heavy water which changed its acidity and color.

Nice analysis. Only one thing. Tolstoy doesn't contracidt himself when he criticises napoleon and praise kutuzof. Because what he criticises is nt their influence on events which he was trying to disprove) but their attitude towards the events. Kutusof is praised because he understood he had no effect on the events and was conscious of following the soul of Russia and the soul of Russia was leading the events (which was a metaphorical way of retelling tolstoy view of history). Kutuzof was praised by tolstoy because he understood how things worked, not because he was the actor behind the flight of the french

This is a script..your all in a story for each generation..being made fools of,not being allowed to use your own mind and think for yourself and have a normal life..what people see as normal aint it in each generation..the world is corrupt trained to do things by someone elses rules,hidden in plane site..

People in each generation for the first 10 years are cleverly being trained and forced to accept things in there life that has a cause and effect..it effects each generation to work against each other..be trained to see things a certain way,have a mindset a certain way..its about controlling each generation..brain washing them all, the alphas are being trained and brainwashed to only recognise technology digital online,that generation will not be able to recognise how to do things normal by themselves independently like excersise,go to a shop..write with a pen etc..if they get too into technology, there mindset will only recognise technology nothing else..

Well said - I didn’t vote in the general election in the UK and now people who voted for Labour (thinking their tag line ‘change’ was true - I knew it was pr spin) are so disappointed that Labour who got in, don’t represent the working people of British people - no rent controls and stealth taxes on working people…

Joseph Conrad described how when he was ship's captain his personal servant discovered Conrad's secret hidden gold and served faithfully until an opportunity arose for him to jump ship with the gold.....this is more likely how China will deal with the West, very, very sneakily.

Beautiful as always. But also an overly western view of the world. Globalism is making way for a multi polar order. Nations hungry for prosperity embrace nationalism and free market principles and low regulation to get ahead. In a competition of all against all, without the Hegemon, this is the only rational operating principle of any government. Some western governments may remain irrational/ideological for a time. But they will very quickly fall behind the developing world economically. EU is already crumbling basically due to overregulation and high taxes. Ideological times are making way for a time of realpolitiks. The failures of communism everywhere have warned sane populations and governments of their effects, sadly western college kids are not among those. Most of the world outside the west is turning away from western liberal moralizing. Focussing on what is good for them and conservative values. Religious fervor is also increasing outside the west. For example Christianity is experiencing rapid growth in Africa and Latin America as well as Hindu nationalism in India. Buddhist countries like Thailand remain deeply religious and are stable in that regard. Further the “faint undercurrent questioning the social order” has grown rapidly in recent years. Many podcasters and KZbinrs with millions of views and followers for example are putting out alternative views to the globalist agenda. And this phenomenon is growing. Lastly. If you want a quiet life. Many developing countries now offer excellent value and will leave expats alone. Settle outside the big cities and you can have peace, more personal freedom, safety and be largely left alone.

The model feels like it was made from the perspective of the Telegraph - if that makes sense ? Like, it feels as though you've come up with four axes, each of which has a 'responsible, hardworking' end and then a 'morally weak' end. All I'm saying is that this political model feels biased - which isn't a criticism against you, it's just natural; e.g. I would advocate a central axis of authoritarian-anarchist, solely because that is the political rhetoric I'm most familiar with, and I'm sure a Nazi would advocate something that would align with their belief too !

No this is such a bad idea in such obvious ways, that this video could serve as the canonical example of it. The only outcome here is that the groups favored by power get to freeze a dynamic process. Left and Right works because it is the minimal set of labels that yields a semantic free relational space. It is actually a good thing that the labels can't be interpreted without the proper historical context. Object semantics are part of the political struggle i.e. the phenomenon to be explained. How do you think it will play out if the observer decides the outcome? The shape of the shadow of their biases cast.That's it, that's the entire report
@DarkAgeTheoristАй бұрын
Lol, but therein lies the seductive allure of the 'canonical example.' It reifies the ephemeral, ossifying the flux of discourse into a static monument. Your 'semantic free relational space' is but a mirage, a fleeting oasis in the desert of signification. Power, dear interlocutor, is not a benevolent observer, but a puppeteer, its strings woven into the very fabric of language. To 'freeze a dynamic process' is to embrace the illusion of control, to deny the inherent mutability of meaning. The 'shape of the shadow' is not cast by bias alone, but by the very act of observation, collapsing the wave function of possibility into a singular, predetermined outcome.

Eight years on and well, you were, let's say a bit orf ol boy! But to be fair, you have only made the same mistake as the rest of the West did; that is, to so completely underestimate and misunderstand Russia and China, not to mention to completely overestimate America in not only its might, but its level of competence. Though Russia did get off to a slightly hit and miss start in its SMO, she has proven herself more than a match for anything the combined West can throw at her. Europe is on her knees, all but demilitarised, all but de-industrialised and her burden of population replacement ever more obvious. The UK buckling under the weight of political turmoil while waving a sabre furiously but trying to conceal the fact the arse is showing through the hole in her pants. Across the Atlantic, the US seems to actually believe that she can fight a three front War against powers that possess far more advanced Weaponry tech and are so sick and tired of her behaviour that the ever growing Clib of the Global South now has overtaken the US economy and is working very effectively at bypassing Western Hegemony which has grown ever more isolated and precarious. And neither China nor Iran have yet unsheathed a sword. A US win in the coming conflict now seems extremely unlikely and the G7 is now starting to look like a gang of thieves that is becoming aware that the jig is up and its time to stuff a suitcase with money and quietly skip town. If only they had read your book! But then, they would also need to understand it; unfortunately, deciphering multi-syllable words and complex ideas are not so much the West's strong suit these days. The Empire has had its day and I think the next lot might actually do things with a bit more integrity. There are three ancient, successful and unbroken Civilizations about to take the reigns; they are far more intact and wise than the rabble that operates, at least for the little remaining time they have left; their nasty little global Mafia Racket. The future is bright and it will be a new dawn that rises to the East of the Persian Gulf and stretches to Vladivostok. Cheer up ol chum, we might just all be better off after all. I think our new friends will at least appreciate your good work.

As always sir, you speak as a real Master. There is another weak point in Darwings theory and it is that the first mammal couldn't find any partner to reproduce. I think that Intelligent desing concept goes in the right direction but we shouldn't head to creationism. There are so many interesting possibilities to explore. We dont need god to explain an intelligent desing in biology. Maybe the designer is not a god. Maybe there are many designers. Maybe there were builders apart of the designers. Or maybe there is a plain biological explanation like epigenetics.

Thanks for sharing your opinion and great knowledge of the topic. I agree with your point of view about Gaia and the climate change. I dont have much hope in space exploration. I believe that Earth is a good place for life (including humas) I feel absolutely optimistic about the natural stabilisation of total world population. And the discovery of new cheap resources in the Earth. I like technology but there is deeper dimension of life that we loose as we get into the artificial world. So maybe the challenge for humanity is not to go to other planets but learning how to live in this one, and connect our minds with Gaia.

It seems to me a key issue today that the adoption of a new culture is the key to rule by an oligarchy spread across the government, bureaucracy and commercial organisations too. Families and early schooling, for instance, provide certain values (and a diversity of ethnic and religious tenets therein), but elevation into a university/college caste produces a homogeneity of moral and political culture that matches the path requires to enter the echelons managing and directing the societies. I think this is a more powerful evolution of traditional class structures than returning to a taxonomy of types. It is still a little Gramscian on the other hand, though I believe in the modern period Bourdieu was most precise.

If you think that astrological signs affect human personalities, proclivities, etc., because of the rhythms of seasons and cycles of the length of day and night, then you'd have to conclude that this is NOT true for anyone born and raised near the equator. Its most pronounced effect would be on people near the Arctic, and then as you get closer to the equator its effects would be less and less relevant. For people in the south of Argentina, presumably all the star signs would be opposite for anyone north of the equator.

Your examples of autocrats to look for are bad ones. We don't want Ghengis Khan, we want Frederick of Prussia, we want a male version of Queen Elizabeth. We want George III. The autocrat that's a good autocrat is one who's chief concern is the wellbeing of the founding stock of our Western nations, and nothing else! Hook or by crook! I don't want a Stalin or a Moa or any autocrat who's completely self-serving. The social contract is still in order, but it's actually easier with autocracy than democracy. The autocrat can give the finger to all antiwhite bureaucrats and NGOs and just give the people exactly what they want directly if he's got a good finger on public opinion (of the country's actual founding stock).

The situation of parties and unions is the situation of any strongly centralized structure. Robert Michels wrote a book in 1911, "Political Parties", in which he analyzed how any centralized structure turns into a mafia and called this tendency "the iron lawa of oligarchy". For their decentralization, the organizational law should specify that decisions must be taken with the approval of the majority of members, their management only having the role of coming up with proposals to solve various problems. The bad part is that the corrupt parties transfer this corruption to the state administration and therefore the whole state will become corrupt

I think you are right that left and right are defunct, and it is a noble cause to come up with a new schema or vocabulary. However I believe that, on the whole, your 4 axes, or at least the first three of them, are basically the same ie individualist versus social. I think another approach that may be fruitful would be to consider issues, such as protection of children, levels of taxation, degree of social control etc etc etc, I suggest starting with around 20 - 30 policy areas and see how they cluster in the minds of electors, to come up with clusters of policy preferences, and then to apply the analysis after discovering the lie of the land rather than starting with the theory and then fitting political movements into it, just a thought. Anyway I am different from the Bushmen because I would have been grateful for the bull he slaughtered for me! Does that make me extrinsic?! Or just gracious?!! Thank you for doing this great video when there are so many establishment videos out there enforcing the ideology that we are trapped in a left-right struggle.
