I am so late to this video but if anyone has made these tops. Could they let me know which seam allowance line they used on their machine. 😅 1/4"?

As it is self drafted, it is kind of up to you how much seam allowance you include in the drafting process. She generally seems to add “1 inch for seam allowance” which would suggest generally a half inch allowance (for each side) But it also depends on which top you’re doing. For the styles that are gathered/elasticated there is a lot of ease built into the style, so the seam allowance wouldn’t affect too much (unless you’re doing 4 inch seam allowances for some weird reason 😂) Good luck!! Thank you for the video! The dresses look great. Fair warning tho to my girlies with the larger busts. You’re going to need some darts. Could not get the top to lay flat without them.

Working on the first one rights now for my first real sewing project, and I will update when I finish!! Edit: it’s not completely finished but all I have to do now is do the final hemming and make it a bit smaller on the sides. Overall this was a great tutorial!! Super easy to do super beginner friendly and now I have a top I can actually wear!!! (All hand seen too, no sewing machine) it did take a long time though, but I am pretty slow

I have started this project and the biggest mistake i have made is not having fabric scissors and the material i’m using is like chiffon and i’m a beginner. Who needs enemies when I can sabotage myself😂
