Mark, think the idea of down sizeing to an 80 has got merit , how much all up weigt can the 80 cope with?? cracking video, good work.

I'm glad you did this because we were talking about going to the Blue Ridge Parkway in April and we need to know the conditions. Sorry that you got a ticket.

Another great video bro, thank you I can't wait for the next one. I really appreciate the way you show everything from the air but also going down and hiking up in the woods to show how and where the landslides origated from. Love your videos they are really informative, thanks again and b safe

I appreciate this for several reasons. You didn't whine about the hike, you went alone, therefore, you were talking your audience, and that you appreciate it for what was. I live in upstate SC and took my twins here in the early 90's. I adored it. Fond memories.

The Atom can go even higher. Last October I flew mine to 17,032 before my phone died from the cold and could no longer track my altitude - was shooting for 18k. I used no supplemental oxygen and felt fine.

Great video bro, and the song brought tears to my eyes. You do a great job showing people what happened and how it happened. I hate that the government isn't helping these people but maybe it will help people realize what our government has become. We can take care of each other, the people of this tragedy and the volunteers from around the country have proved that.👍👍👍

Don't give Feme anything. People in the community can do more than for each other with their own supervisors. If their is a Go Fund ME, any one that can donate a super large amount of money INCREDIBLE TINY HOMES, already with Lowe's contributions made 50 homes for Caroline flood victims . Randy at ITH will open up a separate building line for these homes. A washroom, kitchen..and could sleep a family of 4. LR/sleeping. Shelter from the cold. These are ESP, PANEL homes with almost 3"of closed cell foam. Takes a small plug in heater . If any one can contribute a large amount contact ITH in NEWPORT, TENNESSEE. They are on board to continue building. No one offers what he can do.

Are you even 170lbs? Even loaded up, I'm guessing your all up weight is less than some of the bigger pilots out there. With that, kinda shocked at the bent metal. That said, I'm guessing you likely have quite a few hours of higher loaded flight via aggressive flying...this may have been straw that broke the proverbial camel's back. Great video....great challenge! Well done.

The hardest part is the OCD level maintenance the US armed forces had/have going on. Some Taliban/ISIS might even be able to fly it once, but then... How to clean the intakes, how to check fluids, how many are there anyway, what do the rotors have to look like, whats acceptable wear, what is not, intervals, etc. And if they have the slightest emergency they hae no clue what to do unless some traitor taught them all the procedures.

How did you manage to register an ADS-B Out as an Ultralight? You said it was a lengthy process. Can you point to it? I'd love to know because I live near Washington, DC with a lot of traffic and would would love to be seen in my fixed wing UL. Thanks.
