When you guys took collapses , where you full accelerated , Or did you pull tor trimms in ? Just asking cause reflex wings are sold as more stable and less likely to collapse when trimmers are all the way out .and in full reflex. Never met anybody that actually when through rough air and kept their trimms all the way out .

I can kind of relate to this journey when I was a kid at 17 I graduated , bought a Harley, rode from near the Canadian border down into Ensenada Mexico in the early 70's, My means of travel was much more conventional, but my age made it quite the experience.

Killing me with the cliffhanger… your next stop is my hometown. But really all of the central idaho mountains are my stomping grounds and watching you go through Arco and up to Challis was cool. Also, fwiw, Mackay is pronounced like “Mackie.” it’s one of the most popular gliding spots in the intermountain west (fixed wing, hang and para) they’ve got FAA agreements to ride the mountain wave there up to FL280 there.

I think you faced a perfect example of why being on the lee side of a hill/mountain valley is bad. The cold air being funneled down and away with terrible rotor pushing you down. A literal sinkhole. The whole time I was repeating, "climb, climb, climb!!" In my head seeing you approach that death trap. With a tail wind you'd have face lift instead. But with your comment of heading into that with a headwind made me nervous!

Nirvana is a bit expensive compared to the rest of the paramotor industry. Most paramotors(7-8K, frame and motor) will last a very long time if you treat them nicely - that's what I bought my Nirvana for used. Engines themselves are a different story as they're finicky 2 strokes that are changing every year to get better. Even the up and coming 4 strokes have their issues. These weren't made for this type of adventure so it's pretty incredible what they can do.
