I worked at this building from 1987 until 2010 as building engineer. This elevator uses a geared traction hoist machine.

my guess it served 4 at some point. also this is inside a westfield not a f ing strip mall. how did it get this bad, i know westfield maintenance isnt as bad as simon and simon elevators are f ing better than this.

I stayed 2 days in this hotel I rode the elevators but when my hotel room was on 17 the elevator said 16,17th floor going down I think it glitched.

One thing that has rather piqued my curiosity is, do Fujitec elevators in the USA use GAL door equipment or Fujitec's own door clutch pick-up rollers Cos I understand that Schinder elevators there use Gal door equipment for some

Just like the other building, this one was also built in 1970. I can see why the elevators of each building are different. This one has hydraulic elevators and the other building has traction elevators due to being taller than this one. As of 2024, this building and the other building are no longer owned by Holiday Inn. This building is now The Kimpton Alton. The other building is now the Hotel CAZA.
