Incredible film. I have to point out though... you're paddling with your paddle upside down in about 80% of these clips. The blades are angled and designed to be paddled with the word "Werner" legible (the right way up).. will make your paddle strokes much more efficient 😄

Dude....MAN up !!!! I have gone just under a week with no food while working construction!!! You can go 40 days without food.. It's all in your mind. Talking about giving it up at 54 hours and "calling it quits on your Satellite phone? That is a horrible attitude.

I don't know if you are doing this fishing and no food on purpose or not, but next time, bring a nett and don't only bring a flyrod with you, at least when you have never used one before. And, if you are so needy of food, don't take the hook of the fish and hold it in your hand when standing in the middle of the river.....

I hope no one else follows this guy's example. Going way out into the backcountry without the knowledge and skills to survive is reckless and dangerous. Especially if you have children! And trying to make it look appealing to others is irresponsible. The rational way to do it is to learn how to survive in a friendlier environment and test your equipment before setting out into a situation that could kill experienced woodsmen. That satellite phone can only save you from so many situations. Did it even occur to him that it might get damaged? Bringing a fly rod when you don't know how to fish and that inflatable boat that kept surprising him were pure folly but the worst part is he didn't even realize it. He went out there scared of the dark but he should have been scared of his own flawed decision making processes!

Nice video. there were some awkward parts where before u could finish what u said, it goes onto the next scene. for example at the end, "go back to my normal..." I'm guessing it's suppose to be "go back to my normal life" or normal everyday life.

I'm sorry but taking on this solo journey with no food is, in my opinion, really stupid. Solely depending on the possibility of finding food is jeopardizing your life. There's no guarantee you will. Whatever floats your boat.
