red komodo had that better and warmy color tones, if you look at red circle near the back light on the wall you will notice, i noticed this way, if someone had antoher way reply to this comment

Again, you are matching Red Komodo footage to A7iv. Try to get best grade out of Red Komodo footage and then see if you can push A7iv that far. Also, A7iv footage does feel digital and Red Komodo feels closer to filmic look.

Hello aspiring videographer here! I have the sony a7ii but when I got to detail I didint have the 4k or 1080p settings :( is this because of my lense?

I've been shooting for years A7III. I have the back focus button set up for AF and press it down and take the photo. It is in AF-C mode. Now I've been asked to do some videos for a birthday party. I never do vids but I said I'd give them basic ones. Focus would be nice lol. So I tested with my sony lens and I imagined the C-AF would just beep focusing after I pressed the back focus button. (I was following a dog around and it got out of focus fast). This did not work. It only kept focusing while I held the button down. This got tiresome fast. So how do I get the AF to work continuously without holding down the back focus button ..thanks.

Auto focus problem

Seriously considering this in 2024

Yes the highlights on the face and skirt were much higher compared to the Komodo. That balance between the hightights and rest of the image is where cameras fall short even though they say that camera has 14 stops of dynamic range. It's all about the highlights. The highlight on the Sony look to be a stop above the Komodo. You can also se the difference in the mid tones, and highlight roll off.

Feel like the A7II can use some hardware mods to improve the focus, me personally I think my main usage would be pictures more than vlogging/videos

I looked up for video like this because I felt like there is no really big of a difference between cinema and photo lens in image quality, and this video confirmed that for me. Ofc there are differences in using a lens like better manual focus, same size lenses in set...
