Just got the Volca 2, loving this. I'll visit your shop! New to music....

Thank you! I would recommend that you check out this video as well: kzbin.info/www/bejne/mIvHpnZ-mLakjaM I always use external effects on my Volca Sample because I like how that sounds and the built in reverb on the Volca Sample leaves much to be desired.

I used to have a friend, who i had the pleasure to listen to this while we were building a Minecraft cyberpunk city, long back in 2019, and we both were huge fans of DS back then it is a good memory. He ain't with me no more and i just miss him a lot

Sounds good! Can you program your own sets of ‘one-rd groups/progressions into the J6 … or are you stuck with their factory presets/selections? Cheers!
@RemixSample2 күн бұрын
I believe they are set and can't be changed but you can program your own chords into the chord sequencer so that's what I did.

What do you use for the drone sound?
@RemixSample8 күн бұрын
I used a vst fm synth called Dexed. I used chorus and Valhalla Shimmer at 100% on it. Go to 05:31 to hear how I made it.

I love it, I'm picking up a second mother tonight. one question, do you have Effects only on the sequence mother or also on the base mother at the top?
@RemixSample15 күн бұрын
Sweet!! I replied to you on Patreon as well but yes I believe the bass is dry, maybe a tiny bit of saturation/distortion to beef it up.
@Heavycap15 күн бұрын
@@RemixSample Thanks, will mess with it this weekend, that moog sound is so nice. I was thinking of getting some hardware effects but the software vst effects are so good I'm not sure if its worth it for a studio environment.
@RemixSample15 күн бұрын
@@Heavycap I really like the versatility of software effects and being able to duplicate them is a huge plus haha! Having a midi controller controlling the vst effect is pretty handy as well.
@Heavycap15 күн бұрын
@@RemixSamplenice, funny you mentioned midi controller, I just picked up a Midi Fighter Twister for that same reason. Just tested it out and works great, you can assign anything to it.

How is the Volca making any sound when there's no output cord?
@RemixSample16 күн бұрын
It's not. The Volca has been modded with a midi output so I'm playing the Behringer Model D with it.

How did you do to achieve those several layers of sound ? Of course, there's a prepared backtrack, but I hear three other layers : 2 arpeggios and the notes you play on the keyboard. Is the Mother-32 capable of playing all of this or did you prepare those things too beforehand (at least the mid-frequency arpeggio) ?
@RemixSample17 күн бұрын
Hi! What you hear in the background is a soft synth called the Legend. It has a very similar sound to M32 so I like to use it along side of it. It's definitely possible to recreate most of the sounds using Mother 32's but it's time consuming and makes a video like this annoying to make XD. Here is a playlist of me only using two Mother 32's along with external effects (soundtoys crystallizer and Valhalla Shimmer) kzbin.info/www/bejne/qpvaeaqMd7yKo80
@pyrsmk13 күн бұрын
@@RemixSample Yes, I listened to all your Mother-32 videos ahah. That's what lead me to consider buy one ! Anyway, so it's a backtrack, it makes more sense. Love your work, btw ;)
