Fukkin' solid jam. Y'know, the Minilogue has been in the back of my mind for years ever since I first messed with a friend's, but for one reason or another I still haven't taken the plunge. It seems like a very versatile synth (same for the XD), and I enjoyed playing with it in the past. Would you still recommend buying it over other, newer synths? What do you like most about it? My only hardware synth rn is the Korg Volca Modular lol (which is fun, but has a more specific direction of sounds despite its versatility), otherwise I just use VSTs like Vital. Thanks to anyone who took a minute to read this, just looking for some more input.

If you connect with it I think should at least try it out again. Maybe find a used Minilogue XD, the built in effects are pretty good one that one. Or just get one of the newer synths like you mentioned. There are so many new hardware synths out there now since I originally bought the Minilogue. I'm not even sure what I would buy if I was looking for a new synth. I'm happy playing with VST's for most of the stuff I do tbh. I like hardware synths mostly for improvising and switching up the workflow.

@@RemixSample I see. Thank you for responding! Yeah, I just wanna get one solid hardware synth to use for a variety of things. VSTs/DAWs already provide all the flexibility needed, really, so I guess I just want hardware for the fun of it lol; having a physical interface. There are some pretty crazy synths out there, though!

Ever have an issue with the attack knob not working? Something went wrong and now the decay knob controls both parameters at the same time.

Hot leads! Are those unfiltered from the Minilogue or are they running through a pedal to get that sick overdrive?😮

I'm using software effects. The settings I used to get this sound is a basic saw wave with long release time on mono mode. I added some delay, reverb and distortion (cory wong amp). Having the reverb before the distortion is key to getting the faux electric guitar tone right.
