I had similar thoughts when my ex got his vasectomy, even though I/we never had children. It was totally the right choice. Now I'm at the point @ 44yo that I won't even go to bed with a guy that hasn't got his V card, and I'm VERY grateful neither me or my lover have had children (to be fair- he's 18 years my senior, but in amazing physically fit condition). I wouldn't be interested in being with a guy with kids, for a variety of reasons.

Its hard and we have the ‘big family values’ hoping for a few more babies, my hubby is 8yrs older than me and i know one day we will have to make this decision because he will be older and my organs are already shot from chronic illness. Its going to be okay. Weighing pros and cons are the most important part. But if it comes down to it and you’re very set in another, most vasectomies are reversible and if god believes you guys should have another then he will make it happen (even if hubby is snipped) works in funny ways

My son is in high school, and still wants a baby sibling. Unfortunately he was our miricle baby and as much as we tried and i wanted more kids, God had a plan. His father took his own life when he was 8 and i gave my son love that was absent in his life. I found that extra love to pour onto my son and that was a blessing

We always envisioned 2, maybe 3, but after my first pregnancy, and almost 4 years or health issues after, I knew I couldn’t and shouldn’t do it again. I also had a traumatic birth, but have since gotten past that and every now and then get sad we won’t have more. We have to do what’s best for our families and that’s definitely an emotional journey.
