I’ve suffered with clicks jaw and crippling migraines neck pains since I was 9 , I am now in my 40’s and my life is like I’ve lost all the years to do anything due to the headaches and constant joint aches my gp just ignores my complaints and they like to just write prescriptions as it’s easier for them

I would recommend seeing somebody for chiropractic or PT to see if it helps.

When do you breath into the lower belly and when do you breath into the abdominal ? Both is belly breathing but whats the difference in theory ? Abdominal showed here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/lYjbe2CNireXZqc

They are pretty much the same thing. I just want people to be able to expand outwards but not force the belly to push out. If that makes sense.

could you explain why to not let the leg come forward? Does it change what muscles are activated when shifting the leg from being in line with the body to slightly forward? Thanks, I cant find the answer to this question anywhere, just curious what muscles are being activated (or not) in the straight line position compared to the leg coming slightly forward. Thanks
@elitechiroperformance3 ай бұрын
Good question. The theory as that by lifting the leg into extension (backward) will better activate the glutes while inhibiting a muscle called the TFL.

@elitechiroperformance4 ай бұрын
There may be a lot of possibilities. Make sure you aren't squeezing the knees inwards too much. However, if you feel the glutes and nothing excessive in the back or hamstrings then you should be good.

Are you trying to explain on how to belly breathe?
@elitechiroperformance4 ай бұрын
Not technically. Just reviewing some cues to help cue intra abdominal pressure which involves the usage of the diaphragm (the belly breathing muscle).

Whenever I do the plantarflexion, my Achilles hurts the next day. What should I do about that?
@elitechiroperformance6 ай бұрын
Sounds like you may have some type impingement issue going on. Really hard to say. First thing would be to get it checked out by a rehab professional. Otherwise, I would focus more on strengthening the calves and Achilles tendon.

Finally after two freaking years, I found a explanation that I actually understand. I'm a dancer and instructors just tell me to engage my core and tilt my pelvis, which is not helpful at all and too vague. I end up tensing/flexing my muscle and they said that's wrong. Then they tell me its about stretching and had no idea what that means. Thank you for saving my life lol

Man ive had occipital pain since i was a kid. I just did this stretch and it helped a LOTT. Didnt know what it was just thought it was tension headaches, i would try to push my neck diagonally to stretch it just using my hand which would cause my neck to pop and ultimately overtime give me knots in my back. This doesnt do that and maximizes the ability to stretch that muscle. Thank you foreal..

So in stretch where you push down on the knee, you're trying to improve the external rotation the hip. You stated that if knee stays elevated it could indicate tightness in the tfl muscle, which makes sense since the tfl is an internal Rotator of the hip. What could this also indicate piriformis tightness, since in this degree of hip flexion the piriformis acts as an internal rotator of the hip?
@elitechiroperformance8 ай бұрын
Many things could be involved if the knee stays elevated which can also include hip torsions/versions, capsular tightness, etc. Piriformis could also be involved.
