Hotels and restaurants are expensive in Singapore. However, flights around Asia and Hawker’s food are reasonable. I would not stay longer than 2 days because there isn’t that much to see except for some unique architecture-designed buildings and structures.

Agreed! Hawker food is cheap & 2 days is enough

Singapore and Zurich (of Switzerland) are ranked as the most expensive cities in the world for expats. However, in terms of GDP (Purchasing Power Parity) Per Capita, Singapore has the fourth highest in the world with about $130K per annum, whereas Switzerland has the sixth highest with less than $90K per annum. In contrast, Japan had suffered from three decades of deflation which has led to stagnant wages and comparatively lower prices. Only this year is Japan showing signs of emerging from the deflationary spiral

Yes, because of it's small size, land is expensive, food, water, sand, everything are imported. There's no space for local produce, plus raising living standards, high density means high inflation 😢
@atlantis987657 ай бұрын
@@pringlessourcream9527Between 40% to 50% of the water is imported, not all 100%. About 90% of food is imported, not entire 100%. There is space for local produce, mostly in the north western side of Singapore. There is an ongoing plan to increase the local produce to 30% by the year 2030
