Appreciate the information. Isn’t there a push for some voice members to get more products to review more products to reach gold status? Can you maintain silver status and still keep your total under $600 per year?
@LarryMusgrave
@LarryMusgrave 7 күн бұрын
@essentialviewfinder I mean, you could i guess, but you'd be grabbing tons of $0 ETV supplements and odd things of little use. I'm a vine hunter, I go days with no selections, because I only take things that I can actually use, or something that I would like to buy but wouldn't spend money on. So I do rack up a taxable value with some items, but I'll not just take for the sake of taking. I guess I did at first... to be honest. But now, 3 years in, I'm selective. I don't want another $22,000 taxable value with a garage full of trash that i can't even give away. I'd rather hint and hit the stuff with real value to me and my hobbies.
@essentialviewfinder
@essentialviewfinder 7 күн бұрын
So since you pay taxes on this (over $600) the products are yours and you can sell after 6 months. If you are selective and wait for the good stuff, Inwould assume gold status is hard to achieve if that was the goal. Is gold status worth the effort and tax burden?
@LarryMusgrave
@LarryMusgrave 7 күн бұрын
@essentialviewfinder Well, when I came in, there was no good status. Everyone was the same. So it's all I've ever known. But i get a lot of garage and welding stuff, high end automotive diagnostic scanners and tools, channel lock tools, crescent brand tools, SK tools, digital endoscope, interior laser levels, wood working tools.... and some supplements and small electronics. I've pulled around $10,200 so far this year, so I'm slightly exceeding my self imposed limit of $1,000 a month ETV. But last year I pulled over $22k, so I'm doing far better this year. I also have my taxes at work set up a married, filing as single with an additional $75 being taken a well. That ensures that my tax burden at the end of the cycle can be managed by me.

The man isn't lying....great machine for the money. Sure, my dad's x500 has a desirable frame, but for a much higher price. My only criticism is Husqvarna should put the more aggressive tires on some of their ZT mowers as its a heavy duty deck for a relatively light machine and can lose traction on lower deck settings.

Dang it, I had really thought that it might show through. It was mesmerizing to stand there with the sun glaring on the oil and watching the surface that almost looked alive.

Just a note, the next morning the surface oil was nearly absorbed. I moved them to the rafters of the shed and just had light oil on my hands, by today, it's for the most part in the wood. They stayed real dark, so I'm thinking that the diesel and oil mixture is what you want if your looking for that golden brown, and straight oil if your looking for the dark brown. I do notice that the straight oil has almost no smell at all. It's the diesel that takes a few weeks to stop smelling.

If say similar for that initial 3-4 weeks. Obviously, the strong odor is most noticed initially, and it decreased slowly over a couple weeks, but then it pretty much vanished by 4 weeks. It's also totally dry to the touch at 3 to 4 weeks.

After these, I will be keeping it under $600 and I'm doubting I'll be able to hit their 100 reviews required in the stated time line. That's a high bar to hit with over-inflated prices on cheap Chinese junk that I don't want or need. I'll have to see if I can find worth while $0 ETV's but unlikely.

@JoshAllen17Goated You didn't watch the video, obviously. The point is that at the price point, new from a dealer, with the new warranty.... no one at all competes at the value that this does. Go find me a unit at $4600 that even matches the Kawasaki/K66/fabricated deck of the Husqvarna being talked about here. I'll wait. If you can beat its price and at least match its build, I go buy it.

@@LarryMusgrave XT2 GX54D, has a much stronger fully welded steel frame instead of the stamped steel frame on the Husqvarna. A K62 while not a K66, only about 50 or so footpounds weaker. Fabricated 10 gauge steel 54 inch deck, with a lifetime warranty, 3 year, unlimited hour warranty on the entire machine. Kohler and Kawasaki engines available. LED lights, and is able to handle a johnny bucket unlike the Husqvarna glorified push mower with a seat says the maker of johnny products. $4699, I look forward to seeing it on your channel.

@@LarryMusgrave Screw new machines, why not come to your senses and buy an old GT? Anything built 15-20+ years ago is vastly superior to anything built today. You wont need a warranty if you’re mechanically inclined which I’m sure you are! Nothing wrong with a little elbow grease here and there for a vastly superior machine.

The first thing I did when I bought the bike was a skid plate and hand guards. I don’t see that you have those, at least yet. Honda did a nice job of keeping this bike a bit utilitarian because the bike has a solid record without the gremlins that higher tech stuff cause. It also keeps the price low. I don’t intend to make any further mods to my bike, but what you have done certainly looks good.

How is the smell from the diesel.
@LarryMusgrave
@LarryMusgrave 2 ай бұрын
@jeffquinn5653 I did it last weekend, I'll be heading up there this evening after work. But from what I've seen, the smell disapaites greatly in about a week, and by 3 weeks the odor is pretty much gone. I plan to wait around 6 to 8 weeks and soak it down again. Then I think I could go around 10 years before I need to bathe it in oil again. Being hemlock, insects pretty much can't eat it or bore into it once it dries and hardens. Likely, after this initial treatment, that hemlock will will outlive my kids. It gets that hard.
@LarryMusgrave
@LarryMusgrave 2 ай бұрын
@jeffquinn5653 Week 2,14 days later. I just got here, sitting on the porch, I still do smell it. It's medium level strong, not troublesome. My wife just said that it's not annoying, not giving her a headache or anything, but she noticed it. I'm thinking that the 3 week thing may be a little.... bull-shit. Regardless, I do still plan to respray it at the mid to end of August. I just can't afford to spend $500+ on store bought sealer stain.

I just got a 2009. Replacing rear brake pads and there’s a bit of oil but not a big leak. The shop wants to charge $1k for valve job, I know she’s a bear to take apart but is that steep? Biggest bike I’ve ever had….
@LarryMusgrave
@LarryMusgrave 3 ай бұрын
$1000-$1200 for a valve job and new spark plugs is about typical. That's not a rip off. That said, if your a wrench, you can save around a Grand and cost yourself a weekend day to get to it and get measurements, order new shims and get them by next weekend, spend another full weekend day shimming and getting it back together, and do it yourself.

@moshe2p That is the Husqvarna Clean Cut deck. It's actually an amazing deck with nearly unmatched airflow and suction. I also have a $14k Exmark Laser Z commercial zero turn, and I can say that the clear cut deck mows more smoothly, every time. It's that extreme commercial level airflow that your referring to. And that is a good thing. It's why, with maintained and sharp blades, you will have a perfectly smooth, golf course quality lawn.

How do you find out what your tax rate is?
@LarryMusgrave
@LarryMusgrave 3 ай бұрын
If you're in the United States, just Google federal tax rates 2023 and look at how the rates align with your annual income. Let's say you file joint with a spouse, make $150k a year, and you take $10k from Vine. Your new adjusted gross income is $160k. You did not jump to a new tax rate, but that vine $10k should be taxed at 22%. Then, you'll have your state and local tax if applicable. So call it $2500 tax burden for that $10k in stuff that you requested.

@@LarryMusgrave I'm a single person and I always get a Federal refund each year. It sounds like what I need to do is try to figure out how much I can order on the program to stay within the limits of what I usually get back each year, and just call it an even trade since I most likely am going to spend the refund anyway… essentially letting my tax refund pay my taxes on the products I would get through Vine if I get in the program, and try not to go overboard with it.

After a few times on the interstate, I noticed that the windows were flapping and had never been able to figure out why. The installer wouldn't look at without pay because it had been so long. I can't believe how simple this is (and why the installer didn't know to do it). Thank you for being so detailed.

Thank you. I didn't realize this was being counted as taxable income. I figured it was just the state sales tax rate for the item. Knowing what I now know it gives me pause. One could get thousands of dollars worth of junk they wouldn't have normally bought and get stuffed with a big bill come tax season when they realize they are charged their income tax rate and not the sales tax rate. Worse, this added 'income' through the vine products could bump you up to a higher tax bracket.
