Well I think this has answered my bunker problems, in an attempt to cut across more I was taking the club back very much on the outside, intentionally. And since doing this I've gone to shit. So thanks for the tip, seems I'm over complicating things. Thanks a lot Paddy

Somebody called me over on the chipping green last week and gave me some pointers. This is exactly what that felt like. Amazing video, we don't even need to see your ball flight. Pure knowledge, experience and honesty. Thank you PH!

Padraig, do you think a fairly non-athletic 50 year old should worry more about speed? Do you think this is a good goal for this type of high handicap golfer?

So is the feeling through inpact of throwing the right wrist under the left
@ThrandweelКүн бұрын
You mention the gap between wrists a lot in the release. Is that a reliable way to shot shape? Thinking about and maintaining the same wrist setup in the release?

I'm a real life instructor and do some youtube content. I will give a suggestion. If anyone is going to pick one person's content on youtube... pick Paddy. He is seriously the best I've seen. There's so much misinformation out there... even from some pretty well known coaches. The information Paddy shares is on target always. Thanks you Paddy.

Great tips. Something I just learned two days ago is that, for really long putts, 15 to 25 yds, have the ball a bit forward in your stance. I, and many of the golfers I've seen, top really long putts into the ground because the ball is too far back. And give it a slightly ascending stroke. I saved par with this practice just yesterday from 25 yds. Perfect practice makes... par. 😉

Great video. My nemesis shot is the ball above the feet for 2nd shots at long Par 4, Par 5 with a long iron, hybrid, fairway wood. Do I take it on and risk duffing or treat it as a two shooter. Any tips for playing this shot? Many thanks

" See the good in every shot" He takes practice swings like a fade then he sets up and hits a draw, to keep his arms out front. Breakfast ball, smart. No gimmies make every putt to prepare for tournament play.

Hitting a good shot is more important to me than just a low score. Nobody has ever asked me what I scored yesterday and unless it was an unusually low score I won't even remember it. But I will remember that good shot over the trees or that green I hit in two. So I will always go for it, layups are for basketball not golf. I'm a decent player with a 7 handicap but if you have ever watched the movie (Bagger Vance), the old version of Hardy Greaves is a pretty good representation of my game.

This kind of video is the most valuable thing that most instructors don't talk about. Course management is always discussed, but never situationally. There are many variables in calculating the shot that will get you in the hole in the least amount of strokes without taking on too much risk of a big number. Love how he gave many examples for similar situations.

Experience. Thanks for a GREAT VIDEO. I play with single handicaps mostly twice a week. Really helps with the experience. 3 years now with these guys and I watch them like a hawk. Especially around the greens. And I practice 3 times a week. My handicap is now 12 down from 21. I am 69 and loving golf. Thanks for all your videos!!

THe overall hardest battle for me, Paddy, is simply hitting the ball without my mind interrupting the flow at all. I find there is always the varying difference between my practice swing...and the actual swing. The practice swing has an uninterrupted flow, while the actual swing is not always that way. I think it's a skill that takes time to truly develop....to have one's mind just watch and guide, when it really matters, and not interrupt anything. The mind has to be passive, to a very significant extent....but still be the guide, at the same time. This is probably true of every single sport, of course.

Solid gold. Great information with enough detail but not too much detail. This actually works and helps. Tons of golf videos out there. Most are gimmicks. Others are either too much or not enough. This hits sweet spot. He boils it down so we can all use and understand it. Not easy to do.
