Awesome as always. Look forward to seeing the “ path “ you mention building with the videos. Amazing you’re doing all this at no cost. People’s champion, Paddy, thank you!

Hi Coach Paddy just wanted to thank you for all the tips I used your tips this past Sunday 9 holes and I was able to have fun and got 5 pars and 4 bogeys, with several birdie chances. The tip I mostly used is relaxing my grip and just releasing properly. You are amazing! Congrats on your recent win also.

This is gold. I have struggled with leaving the face too open with my follow through not being timed right. lots of weak fades especially on the longer irons. Paddy has mentioned this in the past but the whole concept of try to shut the face and hit a hook and try to find the balance has worked out. Not quite there yet but was able to hit some tight draws with the longer irons. Practice and more practice

Great win in LR Paddy! I watched you Friday and Sunday and that iron off the first tee Sunday was strong! We do have a golf culture here but our real passion is mallard ducks in flooded green timber!

Those exaggerated hooks and slices also help with scrambling under trees and stuff too. I always found that part of the game really fun because you get to be creative, and it's rewarding to pull off.

Was gonna say similarly … had ine last week where i was left edge on dog leg left with trees overhanging the line to a left flag…said , f’ it” im gonna just draw it out “figuring as long as i make decent contact i couldnt make it worse .it took all pressures off and when it drew it was a “ of course its gonna draw like that “ feeling 😬while,playingmpartner was shocked i pulled it off 😂😂

I'm glad you got the confidence in us Paddy cuz I promise I'm real good at hooking and slicing balls and I'm not a single digit hahaha.

Hola Paddy, great channel, of all the instructors on youtube you got the most integrity by far. Q: What about the stack and tilt system? Would be interesting to hear your take on that. The best players can shallow the club, release the hips, move the weight etc etc, and we all want to play like the best players, but most of us recreational players stay double figure thru our golfing careers. In other words; could it be that what youtube is teaching us are a bit too difficult for anybody who did not start playing golf at a very young age? Hence the stack and tilt. Could you do one on it? Thanks

Keep it simple, Paddy 👍🏻 🍀 Playing my whole life, and I think most of my issues come from loose hands and wrists. I know it’s all about clubhead SPEED, but the more speed I strive for, the less control of (square) face I get. 🙄

Ah, single digit. I wish I could get there but I think that and a hole in one are unattainable for me. I've been trying for 30 years without much success sadly.
@dan12542 ай бұрын
Single digit isn’t really the holy grail is it. I’m a 10 and my swing still sucks. Why don’t you just practice putting and chipping and see where that gets you.

What do you do if you don’t stay down on the ball? Too often when I am on the golf course, I top the ball. Is there a swing thought or a change to think about when you start topping the ball? I especially do this with fairway woods.

@ 2:45 lies the problem for most recreation golfers: they never put themselves in the hips open, back foot slightly raised IMPACT position during their set-up and alignment and if ask “show me where you want to be at impact” it wouldn’t look anything like that. I discover this when helping a friend new to golf who did have a clue how the swing worked so the first thing I did was posed them statically in the same position you are in at 2:47 - the pro impact position - then had them reverse up to the top of the backswing then back down again to “the pro impact position” until their conscious brain “Oh that’s the goal!” and their reflexes (aka muscle memory) got in sync. Then I put balls down and let them get in the way. What had been a chronic open face slice became hooks to the left until I showed them how to extend in the finish 😊

Our health insurance covers ours. 🙂 Have tried many varieties and have settled on Dr. Scholl's Odor-X Ultra Odor-Fighting. Blue can with yellow top. "Almost Golf Balls" on the lanai range leaves much bigger marks than regular balls. Have also been taking advantage of the lines that you put on your balls with a Sharpie for lining up putts, out on the course, with the line circumferential, and aligning that on the tee with the target. A short, vertical line segment appears on the club face - when I don't hosel or toe shank it. (I, sadly, can do both).

Once , just once I’d like someone who teaches golf to have the balls to take an habitual hacker and get them down to a respectable handicap say a 12 /15 , no one will though because the sad truth is for most of us hackers there’s no hope 😢

@mntlblok2 ай бұрын
It would be fun to see "release" defined in three dimensions with the precise timing of all the various joints involved - dynamically. Good luck. 🙂 Vector calculus is a lot of trouble. Getting at it via Padi's drill here - for the "feel" - would seem to hold some promise. However, rolling the right forearm while still keeping the right elbow tucked gets tricky for some of us. Is that telling me that I should play a fade??
