Shoulda taken out that rogue operative instead of putting damage on the base early on, that made a snowball effect that was hard to deal with later.

This is a great point. There was actually a time or two where Ian soaked up a little bit of extra damage to attack gene's hand first, making sure to take care of the bigger threat.

Awesome commentary! 4:54 boldest action by Ian attacking with C3PO into Greedo. If he hits a non-unit, Rogue Operative would have not snowballed 39:15 Gene attacking with Cad Bane into Tech and trying to control the board, would have been the better option. The 2 worst cases that could happen are: If Ian waylays, he can attack into the freed operative or bouncer with the ISB and capture again. If he plays a unit (worst case Han/Enfys) , he can still sneak attack and control/clear the ground.

This is true for the game as a whole but to say Sabine green ecl is a specialist is crazy because it’s the top 1-2 strongest and easiest deck to play in the whole game

I mean yea...Sabine is still meta. Why would he give up a deck that still competes really well into the new decks. Even with JTL coming, i think Sabine will get even stronger with the new vehicle upgrades and revel cards. I don't see blake abandoning Sabine anytime soon

Yes it was! Ahsoka is a lot of fun. I feel like from a competitive standpoint, Quinlan and Sabine are the better aggro leaders. That is why their representation is so high. I am all for someone breaking Ahsoka wide open, though!

@ruttalisk5680 For additional context, I had just played this player in my round 7 match and got 0-2 using the more traditional palp playlines, so I definitely got more aggressive and made riskier plays these games to try and do something different and find a winning line. I still accept some of my plays being suboptimal though :)

@ he made it to top cut in one of the most intense fields the game has seen so far, and I was one of his two losses in Swiss. I have played the matchup a TON against a really great palp blue player so I probably just had a lot more familiarity with that particular matchup than he did.

this is actually a common misconception, when to use ECL could make or break the game, play 2 units vs a single play k2/poe, take out a unit or go full base, in game decision is what separates a Top Table Sabine player from a Swiss Sabine player

@@acedobleace This is so true. Blake is one of those Sabine players to really watch carefully. His decision making process is clinical, and the results he has put up so far with Sabine prove that.

Ecl Poe or wrecker can literally turn a game around there isn’t too much there since Sabine dishes out so much damage early on it’s hard to come back from. Sabine is a leader that can win events with just set 1/2 cards.

He was definitely on a roll last year in Richmond! It was actually a Sabine ECL mirror match that he lost to in the top cut. Mirror matches can spoil the fun sometimes!

I am unable to attend SCG events out on the West Coast, but I am planning on attending the Galactic Championship. Hopefully we will get a chance to meet at an event sometime soon! Do you ever plan on traveling to East Coast events? There is a big Bothan Invitational tournament in Atlanta happening at the end of March that I will be traveling to. It does. Love when you added it a while back. One more suggestion though, what about making all you matches a set length (like 45 min/1hr). I’d never know who won based on time left then. I was 99% sure Sabine was taking it (looking at time remaining after game 1 knowing you add spoiler space). LOVE your content. Best commentator/production out there by a mile.

My main thought has been to try and keep the spoiler space as short as possible, since it affects the watch time percentage (possibly hindering the reach of the video). However, having a set amount of time would be a bit more clean. Also, I do appreciate the kind words. It is extremely encouraging!
