I have a cheap electric palm sander. It works well in sanding. Then I use a RO polisher.

And here I am getting anxiety for buffing a spot for more than 10 seconds. For reference I’m using a finishing pad and a polishing compound.

You hesitated on an answer as to shelflife after opening. Some companies say 48hrs with theirs, would you say I have more time than that with AMMO Reflex?

In the back of my closet, I found some jars of Wolfgang, Blackfire, and P21S waxes. I miss the days of wax that synthetics have replaced. I'm with you, I like applying wax.

You mentioned claying your vehicle before applying the wax. I think I may be overthinking this, but wouldn't claying/iron spray remove your ceramic or wax that is already on the vehicle?

For ear protection i use a pair of Sennheiser momentum 3 hybrid earbuds. They have active noise cancelling with a passive mode allowing you to hear still while buffering out the noise. I was a CNC machinist and i had to be able to hear the machine and the tools cutting but didnt want all the machining noise to hurt my ears. Benifit is getting music and phone also while you work.

Larry deserves all the respect he gets. You've done so much for yourself, but also for other detailers. I like you because you're pretty much as honest as a business man can be in business. Keep the videos coming I enjoy them. :D

Greetings from the U.K. I’ve never been brave enough to wet sand with a power sander, but that was super quick and effective. I do agree that wet sanding can be safer than hitting poor paint with a buffer, you can take your time, panel stays cool, you can check progress etc. Top job!

This is really great content so thank you. When I started detailing in 1993, it was rotaries, 3 mm sanders and 5mm orbit Rotex RO150 FEQ were common in Australia. The Meguiars G220 was darn good actually besides it's vibration , I got great results with that but the dual orbit metabo sxe 450 is a great finisher with a washer mod done. that came out in 2005 or 2006, not powerful but it spreads the polish so beautifully and is so quiet. Back in the 90s and 2000's foam pads were still softer than modern foams like kevin was saying so it killed DA performance. it was really 2009 when things got going for me with the Dynabrade 19 mm orbit tool after seeing Barry Theal's video with it. But I put mine (the switchable one) onto a Flex 1500 watt stone grinder with a max speed of 7600 rpm - the L3406 VRG. Used it on speed 2-3 mainly. It made the dynabrade as balanced as it could possibly be. I've had it reduce orange peel with microfiber by 25-30% on medium hardness paints or correct half a hood in one hit in a few minutes. I still have three dynabrades and the Flex. I call it the T Rex as it's a dinosaur tech wise.

Well you can't force me to not watch discovey channel because I keep your youtube channel open in my browser all the time, and just check when you have new videos. haha :D. As for your class, I'd probably benefit it from it, but no way for me to do that. You have a lot of good information for people so I'm sure it will be good, and wish you the best of luck with it. :)

Teared up a bit from that story. I lost all my detailing stuff too and ended up homeless. I have no way to get back rolling again, on disiability. So I can tottally relate to this. I agree detailing is a passion. Thanks for sharing.

I have a question I don’t have a buffer and I’m not painting my car. I’m painting my bicycle. I’m really big in the cycling and I wanted to change the color so I did and I’ve also use clearcoat with pearl , now do I have to go and purchase a buffer or can I just use a regular sponge or rag or microfiber?

This is so cool! If anyone is thinking of attending I highly recommend doing so. Having a class that will most likely cover a lot of information in only 3 days will save you so much money and heartache in the long run. That doesn't mean I haven't benefited and enjoyed all the information these 3 guys have freely given out in the past ten years or so. I'm looking forward to seeing what's in store for the next 10 years Larry!
