Fyi if you are struggling to dial in For example if you go one notch coarser and it comes in to fast and if you go one notch finer and it comes in to slow stay at ur grind setting ur in the right spot just adjust your dose if its coming in a little to slow take some out if its going a little to fast add some in just make sure ur not over filling or under filling Under filling will lead to a very wet puck and same for over filling if that happens do the same steps for removing or adding but this time in really small amounts

Hi Marc, In Q&A section on the current version, a Whole Latte Love staff member said that the machine is manufactured in Spain. Was the V1 manufactured in China and now the V2/current version is manufactured in Spain now?

Hey.. thanks for this awesome video. Really clear... we got the kit, replaced and lubed up.... But have come across a problem.. without the group head in and just a cup underneath.. when you lift the pour lever up it flows water fine.. you can do this 3 or 4 times. But then the lever blocks half way up stopping any water coming out... once cooled it works fine.. is this an oveheat issue?? All parts are replaced and lubed up ??

I have the ECM Classika PID with this rapid heating system. It works really well and when I get up (not always at the same time), by the time I've prepared breakfast, the machine is ready to provide me with excellent coffee.

Apparently burr geometry does make a difference in the final result, but I suspect you'd need to be doing a blind side by side taste test to really notice.

I'm looking at a new grinder, but have been looking at the more traditional commercial style grinder. Are single dose grinders really a better choice for in the home? I previously had a mazzer mini purchased well over a decade ago, things have changed quite a bit in that time, but I haven't kept up with the news.

Great video. It's actually made me reconsider getting a used machine, especially if it's been used with unfiltered hard water and not maintained. It makes me very uneasy seeing those adjustable wrenches though, surely correct size spanners can be sourced?

Thank you very much for this video. Two questions please: 1. What about retention and antistatic WITHOUT RDT ? I simply do NOT like water in the grinding chamber! 2. We would like to grind coffee beans for espresso as well as for filters with the same burrs WITHOUT changing the burrs. But mainly for espresso... Dark roasts are preferred and we like sweet and very little acidity. Which burrs can you recommend for the VS6? Possibly also 2 recommendations ... .

@@coreymbonge9532 Also, changing the burrs is a pain as far as I can tell from other YT videos. But it supports Mazzer and SSP burrs so that's a plus, the VS6 has proprietary burr sets.

I just added a PID to my 2023 GCP. Its game changing! - Quick to get to temp. - I now know the temp. - Quick to steam temp. and higher pressure - Consistent pulls All this for under $80, I am sure Gaggia can do it for cheaper if they mass produce it. It is crazy that they haven't done that already. Would easily push the GCP value to $600. Would be great if WLL can do a video on installing PID on the machine.

@WholeLatteLove Just a heads up that you have some images of the VS6 burrs on your website that are probably prototypes and aren’t the actual geometry. Example: For the Hypernova Iridescent Titanium Plated, Image 1 is the actual burr geometry but Image 3 appears to be the geometry of the DLC burrs. To verify what I am saying, count the number of stage 1(breakers) vs stage 2 teeth on each. If you don’t know what I mean just message me and I’ll send you screenshots to clarify.

Oh, a pro tip for removing the burrs. Once you unscrew the hopper and remove the bearings, the hopper has magnets in it that will effortlessly remove the top burrs by just setting it back in place and lifting.

Marc I’d like to see a blind taste test of these various flavors depending on the burrs. Ripping off “Vario” name puts me off a little. The chines do that and make junk because they’re copying someone else’s designs. Where is it made?
