My coworker had 29 year old daughter who passed from cancer a year after I was diagnosed. My heart was broken because my coworker was one of my biggest supporter system at work. I had survivors guilt for quite some time.

@ we had a celebration of life gathering a year after her death and I attended but it was so tough because she was so young.

I had a double mastectomy nearly 2 week ago. Mine was her2 positive im 33. I opted not for reconstruction straight away. My surgeon told me they expect clear margins 🙏🫶

I’m really so happy you chose that route. I’ve seen it return so many times and it’s just not worth the risk. You are so young and you have your whole life ahead of you! I hope and pray all goes well 🙏💕 How are those awful drains coming along? 😬 Thank you for sharing!!

@@tammysalamone-thepinksurvivor this is exactly why i opted for the double! I completed 6 rounds of chemo and no im just waiting to heal from surgery so i can start radiotherapy. Such a shock as i am only 33 and it does not run in our family.. also i have a 3 year old who needs her mamma. I had a mri scan after 5 rounds and its been melted away by the chemo and targeted therapy ❤️ then the double mastectomy on top of that! Them drains are really annoying. Luckily i got them out 2 days before christmas 😊 thanks for the reply! Feeling a little emotional today about it all.

of course!! How could you not be emotional!?! You have been through so much physically and emotionally!!! It breaks you down at times. You will get through this one day at a time. You will get your life back and feel like yourself again in time. Sending you so much love 💕 I’m here if you want to vent and get it out. It helps to know you are not alone.

I also am Her2 positive. I will have my second 3-months echo next week. I have had to delay treatment nine of twelve weekly Taxol treatments, as neuropathy is whipping me. I appreciate your video so much. I just reserved the book entitled "Her-2" by Robert Bazell, which was the inspiration for the movie you mentioned in this video. Diane

Oh I’m so sorry about the neuropathy you are experiencing!! It was one of the side effects I did not have. It’s so crazy how different we all respond to the same treatment. @@tammysalamone-thepinksurvivor Thanks, Tammy. I forgot to mention that I have been having weekly Herceptin along with the Taxol. This last time, because I would be delaying Taxol for three weeks, I had a three weeks' dose of Herceptin. I know I will be having a year of Herceptin, just like you did. Just this morning, my oncologist prescribed gabapentin for the neuropathy pain. Oh, how I pray that it helps! I just recently found your channel and I am binge-watching your videos. They are really, really helpful. I send you lots of love, too! Diane

Helllllo! Merry Christmas. My neighbor had inflammatory breast cancer. I tld her what she had before she got her diagnosis, and I told her that she was special because IBC accounts for 1-5 percent of all breast cancers in the USA. She is doing well now.
