As someone who would go to Universal a LOT when I was little and who LOVES the studio tour I just always love seeing these videos bc thankful I was able to witness a lot of the later growth of universal while still having memories of the old defunct parts of universal that I look back at fondly today😭💖 (wasn’t around for the really old stuff lol but Universal looked VERY different when I use to go compared to now!)

60 years and Carl Lamley would still be proud of what he founded 60 years ago and what it has become today, Happy 60 years Studio Tour and as they say in California: "Hooray For HOLLYWOOD!".

The footage of those obese whales with the disgusting sound effects made me clear off this video and leave it with a nasty thumbs down. Way worse than gore I've seen.

I’m late to the party but I couldn’t agree more with your take. I’ve been saying exactly this to anyone who will listen for the past two years. I didn’t expect much from 2018 and then it blew me away. IMO it is the best sequel in the franchise…period. It was true to the original direction style, music production and it was a true love letter to long time fans. The plot was clean, plausible and easy to follow. The kills were unique and engaging. The ending sequence was well written, perfectly paced and had an awesome twist that no one saw coming. I loved it and was super excited for the next two movies. Kills did have great action and deaths but it was not a good overall movie. The theme, dialogue and scene construction were severely lacking. At times it was clownish like when the doctor shoots herself…almost three stooges type stuff and really a turn off. I wish to God that evil had died that night to save us all from experiencing the completely unwatchable third installment. Damn, Ends was a fucking train wreck that easily dethroned Rob Zombie’s Halloween II as the worst movie in the franchise. It’s so bad that I can’t even trash it here because describing how bad it was would just take too long. The opening scene was actually awesome and set a very ominous tone so I thought maybe it was going to pull a 2018 on me. But no, this movie climbed to the top of the mountain, smiled at the sun for one second and then proceeded to swan dive straight into the abyss. But we’ll always have 2018

the problem is that it shouldn't have even been a trilogy and it wasn't meant to be one. halloween 2018 was meant to be a 1 and done film, it would wrap up the story and move on. plus 2018 ends with you wondering if michael actually died or not. it was a solid ending. then the moment the film did great at the box office, two sequels where announced. i knew that they would ruin 2018 and they did. it's h4 and h20 all over again. movies that revived and ending the franchise on a high note get pointless sequels to make some more money. h4 got h5 and h6 h20 got ressurection and h40 got kills and ends.

I’m going to disagree (obviously this stuff is all subjective). Nothing in this trilogy was really mind blowing to me. I would say overall it was fine. Having said that, I think Halloween ends is the best film of the three. The first two were just endless murder and Easter egg scenes. Ends captured the feeling of the original more, with a burning evil menace lurking slowly just beneath the surface. Not a great film by any means but it tried something new. Which certainly cannot be said of the first two.

I'm sorry but I think compared to the original Halloween movies the new Trilogy was kind of bad. The whole reason that exists doesn't make sense to me John Carpenter's argument was because well I originally intended for Michael Myers to do half Supernatural half human. No he didn't does John Carpenter want to repeat that again? The first film was literally described as he's a force of nature that does not describe half human half Supernatural. That's it just he's completely not human but a shell of a human body containing something that's not human at all. That's basically saying right there that he's not even remotely close to being human. So what did he do he blamed the groundwork Halloween 2 as though the groundwork got laid down in the second film when it wasn't really. The groundwork was really laid down by John Carpenter himself in Dr Loomis is explanation of what Michael is. So he's His Own Worst Enemy in that regard and he got in his own way of his own vision. However I would have looked at it as a happy accident because look how good Michael became because of that. He was already established and didn't need to be established a different way. When you count the last two films of the new trilogy it shows.

I also still argue that it is still a remake. It's just that they made both tied into the same events of the first movie. Someone can argue with me if they want, but that's my opinion.
