Use the pattern setting instead of the line in the first test. It's much easier to find which setting is the best.

I have had no adhesion issues with the Bambu Labs PEI build plate. Sounds like you are just trying to sell and collect referral commissions from Biqu

The most challenging thing I'm finding with the Bambu P1S i just got is the lack of proper documentation. After printing a benchy (as recommended in the handy app) i had zero clue as to what it told me or what was good/bad and certainly not what to do about it. Reading comments here I'm wondering if the benchy in the app is different to the one on the included SD card. I'll try to print that next before any tinkering. I was under the impression that the P1S made a lot of this manual calibration unnecessary, so i hope not to have to get into the weeds with this. Thank you for the informative video which I'll certainly return to if i become more adventurous in pushing the performance

Good video. Quick and to the point. As another commenter mentioned, unload your filament first then be sure to power off the printer before disconnecting the wires.

Hey. How is it possible that my P1S has manual calibration and manage results just greyed out? I cannot click on anything. I am using Bambu filaments.

Not sure what is happening, but I followed the directions to a t, and the second test is always no bleeding. It is like the p1p is printing all the first color and then printing all the second color. I only get the smear when I do just one test print at a time

There was a step that was missing.. In BambuStudio you need to disable auto-calculate when changing color and/or changing filament. But this video helped me a lot.. Thank you..

If model has 4 colors, this test needs to be done for every color combination twice. Red / black / white / brown? red/black , black/red, red/white, white red....etc?

I only print in ludicrous and mostly with a .4 nozzle. You cannot tell much if any difference but it definitely cuts hours off big prints and really speeds up my daughters prints that would otherwise tie the machine down for hours. I can't imagine using my .6/.8 nozzles that shit will be quick-quick.

Got an A1 2 weeks ago , after doing some small prints I wanted to print one of those Bambulab accesory boxes and to my surprise the plate got damaged by the nozzle. Even though I did a calibration the nozzle managed to scratch off the texture of the plate in 2 places. Although this isn't directly the plates fault I did encounter warping on my first print as well as failed prints ( peeled off prints ) when I tried to print a cover for the A1 screen

Just looked at the plate on Amazon and it has several my prints don't stick complaints. So I wont be buying it. I am looking for a spare plate and my original works fine, occasionally things start to not stick in places so then I wash it and it's fine so no I wash it every few days and no issues.

I'm guessing this is your true experience with perhaps a bad plate. Like many others, I absolutely love PEI plates. No more glue, no more glass...just print and flex it off. But I would say, free product from a company = biased review. They go hand in hand.

Try cleaning the original build plate. It is a little fussy about needing to be very clean. Soap and water or isopropyl will do the trick!

If I’m printing something for myself that I’m using as a tool and don’t mind if the colour bleeds through the walls, I’ll flush to infill. Other than that, just change the filament flush multiplier to 0.4 or 0.5, turn on the prime tower, and call it a day. I’ve printed a Santa clause that used red, white, beige and black, and there was no noticeable colour bleeding at 0.5. This was with Bambu Lab PLA filament. If you’re using other filament, YMMV.

Great info thanks for this. I don't know if I missed something and this may be a stupid question but do you need to do this process for each roll of filament? Also all my lines looked exactly the same.

@innocenceends5269
@innocenceends5269 Ай бұрын
Hes using a 0.6 nozzle. The nozzle the p1s comes with is 0.4 and thats kinda a middle ground between quality and speed. 0.6 is mostly speed cutting down print times just about half while 0.2 does fine detail but doubles the print time of 0.4. For his 0.6 nozzle he got decent quality while still maintaining high speed prints good for bulk printing things that dont need detail just function. Edit: Also his layer height is at 0.36 which the stock for 0.4 nozzle is 0.2 which is a BIG difference.

Yeah, that happens actually. When I had ender s1 pro it came with PEI sheet as well. It had TERRIBLE adhesion (and no, cleaning with soap, isopropyl or any other alcohol did not helped). After months of battling to fix my adhesion issues, I bought new PEI build plate that had zero issues, it just worked right out of the box. I assume something happens during manufacturing of these plates that they come out with a defect. My bambu PEI sheet also has zero issues printing PLA, PCTG and PETG always perfect adhesion. I suggest contacting bambulab to get that build plate replaced.

Way too many variables to consider before you start claiming skill issues. This is a fairly common issue with P1S and X1C and it seems to have got worse with the latest batches.

Anyone who has ever used a Textured PEI plate knows this entire video is a scam, which means it is a paid scam as BIQU is the logical recipient of money. So you have shown who you are and you have subsequently shown who BIQU is.

I have been printing with the Textured PEI plate, and it literally has 0 issues on my A1. Never even had to wash it or do anything with it. Just remove my print and print something new. I honestly really don't get how people have so many issues with it.

I rinse the plate and apply glue stick to the PEI plate and the adhesion is fine. I kind of assumed that was just part of the normal process because the lab tech at my school recommended that I do it. Even with the smooth cool plates for X1C’s at my school you need to apply glue stick or there will be adhesion issues. So I might look into getting one of those printing plates you’re showing
@MrSoundChaos
@MrSoundChaos Ай бұрын
Glue sticks shouldn't be necessary for PLA on PEI. for a lot of people, the glue isn't to make the adhesion stronger, its to help release the print from the bed without damaging it when it sticks too well without glue.

You must be doing something wrong if you're textured plate isn't holding PLA
