Hello there ! After almost 20 years, I’m coming back to miniature painting and discovering your awesome channel ! This bitonal metal color scheme blew me away, would you considering to advance for an almost total newbie to try ? How would it adapt to TMM if I wanted to go along that way rather ? Thank you so much for your content, your take on the hobby is so unique compared to everything else you can find online, I feel so lucky finding your KZbin channel out !

I know this trick from working with Super Sculpey polymer clay :D I didnt know, that I can use it on miliput too, great!

Hey Marco, thx for the amazing tutorial. I've tried it myself and am really happy. But I had problems with the Plaguebearer Flesh through my Harder and Steenbeck Ultra 2024. It clogged the airbrush really quickly by forming a blob at the top of the needle. At the same time it was hard to control the spiderwebbing. Am I doing something wrong? I sprayed at around 1,5 to 2,0 bars. In the the end I did that step with a brush which is fine but I still want to improve my airbrushing. Cheers

What kind of airbrush and cup are you using? Is it modified?

How do you get your silver that shiny? I use Vallejo silver with an airbrush and I get good results but nothing quite like you’ve managed

I've been experimenting with a style very similar to this on my own without really knowing why or what colors to pic. Just going with what looks good. I've really enjoyed you're description of why we should pick things. It'll certainly help with my confidence in choosing colors as I progress. I think I'll also finally take the plunge into oil washes. Thank you for sharing!

Do you vanish before the oil phase? I find that the spirits often pull paint off when I do this. Am I not letting it dry long enough?

I generally love how you teach the theory the concept of art and how to apply it to models Very few mini youtube channels do this Instead they say dp it my way if you want to he proud of a model you should do it this way

I just finished my first squad painted entirely with oil paints, and I'm back to rewatch this video now that I have made my first stumbling attempts. Things I have learnt: 1. This is SUCH A RELAXING way to paint. All sense of panic is gone. You just apply some paint, push it around, maybe wipe it off, maybe blend some in from elsewhere. It's so zen. I love it. 2. I left too much of the initial staining layer on, and need to take more time to wipe off the initial application, else the next colours get too muddy. I have a question: is it recommended to varnish the models once painted with oils? I'm assuming I don't need to, as the oil paints are tough enough to be handled in games?

Its more a testimony to amazing skill and combination of techniques than an actionable tutoriel for me. My understanding is that oils are doing the heavylifting. Is there a way to emulate this with other types of paints ?

Ciao Marco, volevo chiederti un consiglio. Ho questo airbrush da poco preso che mi da dei problemi e non riesco a capire perché. Ho provato di tutto, a smontarlo, rimontarlo e pulirlo mille volte, ma niente. Con i pezzi da 3mm l'aibrush caccia solo aria e non spruzza pittura, con quelli da 5mm spruzza a intervalli, tipo sprinkler o irrigatore da giardino. Quale può essere il problema? Mi sto dannando.
