Hi! Can you help me on how to locate and integrate MIPC camera for livestream in Home Assistant

Have you or anyone else setup a TP-LINK Tapo C320WS with home assistant ?

This is very helpful, however im confused on something - I have something on port 8000 , I need access to, I understand the concept of port forwarding, my questions is what IP address am i forwarding to is the IP address of the computer Im on is it the modems IP, is it the routers IP is it my public IP? Can you clarify that for me?

If the camera has a pan/tilt function like the Tapo C500, is it possible to have access to that functionality? or can that only be done through the phone app?

And how to do it for more than one tapo camera?

I found your video while searching for a tutorial to set up a TAPO C110 camera. It worked perfect. I have it installed in Home Assistant. Thank you very much. The VLC player test worked great.

FYI this still works as of 8th may 2023 with Home Assistant OS 10.1. I already had HassIO installed after realising I hadn't configured the WiFi anywhere. Then just plugged an empty USB renamed to "CONFIG", created "network"-folder and created the .txt as shown in the video. Then I turned off my Server and plugged in the USB, turned it back on and it automatically connected to Wifi and I was able to access it from my PC.

Genuinely the worst OS i have ever used, worse than any router i have ever owned. Been using nix for over 30 years. This tut was about as useful. Theres no freaking kernel modules

I have the C110. I have it sitting in a window pointed out into the yard. It works really well during the daylight. But at night the reflection in the glass from the ir lights blinds everything. Does anyone know a way to tell the camera to not turn on the ir lights at night?

I purchased the TP-Link AC1350 today for my home use, and I am very grateful that I found your video clip on uTube, as I was struggling to get into the configuration of this access point. I was wondering if you could kindly explain how to set up a STATIC IP address. Does one do this through the AP or the router I am using. A short video clip on this will be very much appreciated. one small point, some dynamic dns providers view continuous update as misconfigured, and block updates from you until you fix the problem. the downloadable software from this provider monitors your system and only sends updates to the provider when your dynamic ip address actually changes.

cant get mine to work ever time i press play its wanting a password and my name so i put it in and its not letting me pass that bit i try diff4rent pages any help been trying for weeks to get this right

has anything changed since updates to Tapo or HA? Tapo C200 HV 3.0 | FW 1.3.0 HA 2022.11.5 I can get a feed streaming in VLC but once I set up the camera via config.yml I keep getting grey box with a disconnected symbol in the middle.

Ive successfully installed my tapo c210 on HA, controls and sensors work fine but I get no streaming at all. Don't know what to do. Any suggestions? Notice my HA is remotely hosted on a VPS so maybe that's the issue.

Great video. I'm going to get Home Assistant going in the new year and will integrate my two Hive thermostats. Do you think I can automate to boost one of them when the other is firing the boiler? Basically I'd like my underfloor heating to only come on when the main system is already on.

1st video of its kind I have seen on the subject of linking Home Assistant and Hive. Thanks. Is it possible for HA to demand heat from the Thermal Storage tank e.g. Boilermate via Hive when HA is paired with Smart TRVs? Your response to this will be most appreciated. Thanks PS I do not want to use Hive TRVs linked to Hive as they are expensive and there are far more clever things one can do with HA, room presence sense and alternative Smart TRVs.
