Grateful he's playing grateful solo you can feel the dynamic he had when he was young this sound was a new era in Jazz. Like Chick Corea with hes sound maybe one decade before. But of course for me Pat methene the only one who makes kind of jazz with latin rhythm afro rhythm.ect.Just painting music

He is a star..Interesting if you listen to the solo also he made one mistake (accidentally hit two keys at once). So he wasn't God...just a human genius. I listen to this band almost every day!

"It's just talk", but the level of conversation is on a rhythmic level that transcends into where Lyle Mays had to ascend in order to transcend himself. He was simply far beyond this life in his element. Just BRILLIANTLY AT PEACE WITH HIS CHOICE IN LIFE TO PLAY THE KEYBOARDS. Like all of the geniuses before him, Lyle gave his all to music, which we have nowas our own part of him. Never to be missed because music is forever. So goes life with Lyle

Somebody should have told dude just using third valve alone doesn't happen. At least not like this. If you're gonna portray a trumpet player, maybe take actual lessons for a few weeks at least so you know the basic fingerings?

Pat Metheny's song "It's Just talk" is like standing lakeside as a high speed boat and water skier, at a 45 degree angle, comes by and deluges you in a huge wave of water.
