Great video and effort by Team GB - but sadly the team is not yet GREAT! We need to work harder with, and for, Dart in case Katie or Emma are ever injured; and we also need to find a decent doubles pairing that play together regularly.

We have 2 excellent singles players , but we have a very poor doubles team. For us to win the BJK cup we cant depend on Katie and Emma to always win their singles match. LTA must fund and support a pool of 4 players to play doubles e.g. Harriet Dart, Jodie Burrage, Hannah Klugman, Mika Stojsavljevic, Minge Xu. Neither of the players who played doubles in Malaga were good enough to beat the opponents doubles players, and it was same in April 2024 against France. If Emma R had not beaten Diane Parry in April everyone was saying we couldn’t beat the French doubles team. It will be a hard message to the 2 girls, but if you want to win the BJK cup you have to make these decisions and build a strong doubles team. But can Anne K make the decisions that are required to be made?

@LTA do we have anyone lobbying SKY to make it affordable for OAPs to follow the Brits who have entered into events which we all know are not free to watch but via a subscription which could be well beyond what many could afford each Month. Something like a 50% or 75% fee reduction on proof of age could only benefit all concerned.

A burrage - dart doubles team could be a way to back up Katie and Emma. Could they play together in 2025 to be ready for BJK in November 2025?

I’m 76 and have just given my golf clubs away to my grandson ! I’ve not played for many years so why not ? Walking tennis looks good to me but I don’t think there’s even normal tennis available around me. Still, I have a knee op to get through first then maybe I’ll have a look. I can definitely see the benefits.
