I believe they are the Injora TRX-4M long travel shocks 58mm but I can’t be positive because I randomly found them in my pasta bin

No it did not rub when k had the stock wheel/tire set-up. My rub is mostly likely due to wheel offset

Imagine your rub is mostly from the wheel offset not the tire size. They look like they poke way out. Sweet looking truck 👍

3 things to know. 1. It’s overpriced by at least $15k. 2. It has a turbo so forget about the reliability and longevity Tacomas of the past are known for. 3. It’s made in Mexico so forget about the excellent build quality we’ve known and loved in previous generations. Facts don’t care about your feelings. 😎

It also ,have not been reliable since the 2000's quality is bad transmission issues engine issues specially the newer model up to 2023 tacomas have been dead since the 2000's the one that has been reliable are the Hilux diesel

@ I’m a mechanic by trade. I’m very familiar with the long documented history and data collected over decades of turbo use. The use of turbos is not ground breaking. This isn’t new. We know that putting a 4 cylinder under turbo charged stress cuts engine life in nearly half. Frankly, with modern vehicles using more plastics in the engine bay it may be worse.

@@landonhormann3369 the TRD Off-Road comes in 8 different colors: Terra, Bronze Oxide, Celestial Silver Metallic, Ice Cap, Underground, Blue Crush Metallic, Black, & Supersonic Red. But my opinion is there are few other colors I would have chosen. All blacked out vehicles are my favorite. The 3rd Gen. had an orange and light blue that were awesome but they don’t offer those with the current 4th Gen.

What mpg do you get on the freeway with 285/70s? Thats the best tire size looks good and still not bad mpg. I went 35s 13mpg in town 15mpg freeway🤦♂️

I upgraded from a 2007 Tacoma Pre runner double cab to a 2024 TRD Off road premium two weeks ago. I agree with the things you said. The pre wired Aux switches is going to help so much. The other day I went to Big Bear Mountain. And on the way home, my mpg was 26.4 for 86 mile drive. I just like the off road suspension and the truck feels taller. In the future I do plan to upgade the tires and the wheels to Method wheels. The lasfit floormats are worth it. One of the first mods I bought. Same with the helogen turn signal to LED. Great video.

Dang 26.4 is nuts! New wheels and tires completely change the look of this truck. Also since you’re near Big Bear, the off-road tires are going to be great in the snow, so much fun to drive!

I have found this to be a common problem. There seems to be no real clear outline for which vehicle trims will have/not have this auxiliary option.

@ I was thinking it may just be the premium package but I have no clue 😂 This is my first Toyota! I’ll miss the six switches and some other features my Gladiator Rubicon had, but hopefully this Tacoma will be better overall in the long run.

Wonder how much this Taco cost? Love my 2007 Tundra Limited 4X4 with over 250K miles. I heard this new truck has transmission issues and the 4 cyl is underpowered unless you go with the hybrid? Would be nice if V6 was still optional? My disapointment is mark ups. Couldn't find a single SoCal dealer willing to sell at msrp or below.

2:18 a lift will not solve your rubbing issues. You need a custom alignment with high positive caster and possibly trimming of the fender liner will do it. Lifting to prevent rubbing is a big misconception.

My guess is that it is the highest spring rate out of the set. I compressed both springs and the grey seemed to be stiffer but that could just be me

I’m sorting through the ride height on mine at the moment, not much can be done except add shock limiting spacers in the shock bodies. I’d love to see a follow up video!

What's limiting you to only using shock spacers? You racing in a class with restrictions or you just trying to work with the stock parts? You could always get some losi carbon fiber shock towers or different aftermarket ones with more shock mounting locations..
